WAS RB Alfred Morris - Week 16, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Philadelphia

Just when it looked like maybe Matt Jones was going to get a bulk of the carries going forward, Alfred Morris ran 14 times for 84 yards last week against the Bills. In the prior two weeks, Jones had collected 18 carries in each of those games while Morris had 17 total.

Now, one can argue Morris has the hot hand. Despite 11 carries for 24 yards in Week 14, he did score a TD so he's been fairly productive the last two weeks. Now, add in that this is a great matchup against the Eagles who were just gashed by David Johnson last week and Morris becomes a tempting play. We predict Jones to be the more productive back, but the whole Redskin RB situation is maybe one to stay away from even in a great matchup like this. Morris is ranked 37th and is just a middle-range RB3 play

WAS RB Alfred Morris - Week 15, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Buffalo
Alfred Morris scored his first TD of the season last week against the Bears. He had 11 carries for 24 yards on the day. Matt Jones got the bulk of the work with 18 carries. While Morris scored the TD, he averaged just 2.18 yards per carry last week and comes in way down our list as a RB4 option. He's just not a safe play even in a good matchup against the Bills who are 27th in allowing fantasy points to RBs.

WAS RB Alfred Morris - Week 14, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Bears
Alfred Morris carried six times for 12 yards last week. That came after a Week 12 line of 23-78-0 so it looks like the team went back to Matt Jones who had 18 carries in Week 13. Morris comes in 46th on our RB list even in a nice matchup against the Bears, who are 24th in allowing fantasy points to RBs. Morris just can't be trusted in what is likely a big game at this point of your fantasy season.

WAS RB Alfred Morris - Week 13, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs Dallas
Alfred Morris carried the ball 23 times for 78 yards last week against the Giants. It was the most carries he's had since Week 1, when he went for 25-121-0. In between, Morris averaged just under 10 carries a game. With Matt Jones carrying just eight times last week, it's really anyone's guess as to how the workload will be divided this week against Dallas. The Cowboys are 23rd in allowing fantasy points to RBs, so one would think the Skins use a heavy ground attack. But, this is a fantasy situation to stay away from if at all possible.

WAS RB Alfred Morris - Week 12, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. New York Giants
Alfred Morris had just two carries for zero yards last week before leaving with a rib injury. It's not a great matchup this week, and it's still a question how the ribs will affect his workload in Week 12. He's ranked way down our RB list, but just hasn't been a great fantasy option this season.

WAS RB Alfred Morris - Week 11, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Carolina
Alfred Morris had his best game since Week 1, running for 92 yards on 15 carries last week against the Saints. Despite producing usable fantasy numbers, Morris still was second fiddle to Matt Jones who had a monster game in the receiving game. Morris will come with a lot of risks this week as the Panthers present a much better defense. They are ranked 17th in allowing fantasy points to RBs but Morris just isn't a safe play given what we know about the Redskins committee running game.

WAS RB Alfred Morris - Week 10, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs New Orleans
Alfred Morris carried the balljust four times for 10 yards last week. This week, he's ranked below Matt Jones and Chris Thompson in terms of Washington RBs. By now, we all know he's just not a safe fantasy play in standard leagues.

WAS RB Alfred Morris - Week 9, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at New England
Morris ran six times for just five yards back in Week 7, and added a catch for two yards. Matt Jones hasn't been much better, but continues to out-produce Morris in most weeks as of late. The two are expected to continue to split carries, Jones seems likes the safer option at this point.

WAS RB Alfred Morris - Week 7, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Tampa Bay
Alfred Morris ran 11 times for 21 yards last week and added a catch for 11 yards with Matt Jones out of the lineup. Over the last two weeks, he's carried 19 times for 36 yards. This week's matchup is a much better one as Tampa Bay is 25th in allowing fantasy points to RBs. If Jones remains out, Morris could be a usable, but also risky option for those needing help at the position. Morris is a low-end RB2 option according to our rankings and is probably only a safe play if Jones is out.

Thursday, October 22, 2015 - 9:59pm
WAS RB Alfred Morris - Week 6, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at New York Jets
Alfred Morris ran just eight times for 15 yards last week. It was his second-lowest carry total this season, and it was his lowest yardage output this year. Despite being called the team's lead back, he continues to get fewer carries than Matt Jones and even fewer touches than Chris Thompson. This week, he faces a terrible matchup against the Jets, who are sixth in fantasy points allowed to RBs. We have Morris just one spot ahead of Jones this week, but it was Jones who stole the TD last week. Morris just isn't a safe play right now.
