ATL TE Tony Moeaki - 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Tony Moeaki entered training camp healthy this year after dealing with a variety of injuries over the last few season. Still only 28, he gives the Falcons the best combination of blocking and pass-catching ability of any tight end on the roster. New offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan loves to create opportunities for tight ends, so Moeaki could create some fantasy value if he beats out Jacob Tamme and Levine Toilolo and stays healthy.

Fantasy Downside
The odds are against Moeaki making an impact in 2015. In fact, he's no guarantee to even make the Falcons final roster. The veteran has dealt with hamstring, elbow, calf, hand, concussion, ACL and shoulder issues throughout his career and is a poor bet to stay healthy. He caught just eight passes in six games last year while finishing the season with the Seahawks and battling calf and shoulder problems.

Bottom Line
Tamme is slated to be the Falcons starting tight end this year and Toilolo has even drawn praise for his work in training camp after putting together an ineffective 2014 campaign. It would take injuries or poor play from Tamme and Toiolo for Moeaki to see the field and even then, he'd have to stay healthy to make an impact. He currently ranks as our TE50 and is going undrafted in both 10 and 12-team leagues.

SEA TE Tony Moeaki - Week 15, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15: Moeaki vs 49ers
Tony Moeaki is the best receiving option of all the Seahawks tight ends, but that's not saying much. He only has 10 targets in the four games he played. Don't expect that to change. Keep him on the waiver wire.

SEA TE Tony Moeaki - Week 14, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14: Moeaki vs Eagles
Tony Moeaki was held to one catch last week, but it was for 63 yards. He is the best fantasy option for Seattle at tight end, but nowhere near the league radar when it comes to the position. Keep Moeaki on the bench for Week 14.

SEA TE Tony Moeaki - Week 13, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13: Moeaki vs 49ers
It seems Tony Moeaki has been the tight end of choice since he started playing for the Seahawks several weeks ago. He had four catches last week, but that's not enough of a track record to consider him from a fantasy standpoint yet. Keep him and all the Seahawks tight ends on the bench.

SEA TE Tony Moeaki - Week 12, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12: Moeaki vs Cardinals
All the Seattle tight ends seem to be getting involved so there are no strong fantasy plays here. Tony Moeaski had a touchdown last week, but it's like the lottery. Pick one and hope you get lucky. For that reason, keep all of them on the bench.
