Toby Gerhart Week 8 vs. Miami
Toby Gerhart is expected to return to action this week. But with Denard Robinson coming off a 100-yard effort, he won't automatically get his starting job back. There's no reason to play Gerhart until we see him regain the starter job.

Toby Gerhart aggravated his foot injury last week against the Steelers and managed just nine yards on four carries. It's probably time to give up on him having any real fantasy value at this point.

Toby Gerhart Week 5 vs. Steelers
Toby Gerhart has been a downright dog this season. He had 32 yards on 10 carries last week and did score his first touchdown, but overall, he's just not starter material. After struggling against the run early, the Steelers have allowed 105 yards on 30 rushing attempts in the past two games. That doesn't bode well for Gerhart. Use him as a flex and nothing more.

Toby Gerhart Week 4 vs. Chargers
Gerhart has been a big disappointment to this point and had just nine carries for 32 yards last week. The Chargers aren't allowing a lot of rushing yardage, but they are giving up plenty of catches to opposing running backs, including 11 receptions for 115 yards and a score last week against Buffalo. The Jags will likely try a similar tactic this weekend to take some pressure off of rookie Blake Bortles in his first career start. Gerhart has had two receptions in each game this season and could easily double that this week. Give him a shot as a flex play in PPR leagues.

Toby Gerhart continues to nurse an ankle injury suffered in Week 1 and had just eight yards on seven carries last week. The Jags have rushed for 42 yards or less in their past three games against Indianapolis. Don't use Gerhart as anything more than a low-end No. 2 or flex play this week.

Toby Gerhart Week 2 vs Redskins
Toby Gerhart managed just 42 yards rushing and 15 receiving on 18 carries and two receptions last week before leaving with an ankle injury. He's likely to play on Sunday and has a good matchup against a soft Washington run defense. If he's going to get at least 20 touches per game - and that looks like the plan, he's worth playing as a solid No. 2 fantasy option.

Toby Gerhart and the Jaguars face a tough defense this week with the Eagles, particularly against the run where they permitted just 3.7 yards per carry in 2013. If the Jags fall behind as expected, Gerhart could help out as a receiver out of the backfield in PPR leagues. But he's a low-end No. 2 back this week.
