Jaguars rookie running back Storm Johnson started, but the end result was the same for the ground game.

Johnson carried 10 times for 21 yards in his first NFL start in Tennessee’s 16-14 win over the Jaguars on Sunday at LP Field. The seventh-round pick did score a touchdown from a yard out to finish the Jaguars’ opening drive.

“It went good, but we took an arrow today,” Johnson said. “Now, we have to get back to the drawing board and get the win next time. It was nice to get the first touchdown, but it’s nothing without the win. It was power. Blocking was there. I trusted them, got behind them and turned my feet.”

The Jaguars entered the game ranked 31st in run offense at 67 yards a game. Tennessee had struggled against the run, ranking 26th, but didn’t give up a run longer than 7 yards to a running back, the story said. The Jaguars didn't have starter Toby Gerhart, who is recovering from a nagging foot sprain and just hasn't been what fantasy owners thought he would be this season. Quarterback Blake Bortles led the team in rushing with 38 yards on five carries and the running backs were held to 18 carries for 44 yards. Denard Robinson gained 22 yards on five carries, and Jordan Todman carried three times for 1 yard. Johnson is a popular target on waiver wires, but we've cautioned owners about just throwing him in lineups.
