Week 1 at Tennessee Titans

Seabass has been placed on injured reserve and is out for the year. Giorgio Tavecchio takes over at kicker on the active roster. He's a top-12 option this week, if you don't mind starting an inexperienced kicker. The Titans-Raiders game is amongst the highest point total games in Vegas for Week 1.

Fantasy Upside

Sebastian Janikowski enters his age-39 season. He was the fantasy K12 in 2016 and plays in an Oakland offense that is only maturing with a good, young quarterback in Derek Carr. Opportunities will be there for Seabass.

Fantasy Downside

Janikowski was not consistent week in and week out, scoring five points or less six times last season.

2017 Bottom Line

Janikowski is right on the fringe of being a top-12 kicker in our projections. At that point, it just becomes whether you prefer him over the other names available. If you aren't one of the last teams to take a kicker though, there will definitely be better options.

Fantasy Upside
Sebastian Janikowski has one of the best legs in the league who hits 50-plus yard field goals with ease.

Fantasy Downside
It's hard to trust the Raiders despite the fact they seem to be collecting some talent that could allow them to improve offensively. There are safer options at this point.

2016 Bottom Line
We have Janikowski at No .25 in our rankings which is currently nine spots below ADP. Just make sure you take a kicker in the last round of your fantasy draft.

Week 17 – Sebastian Janikowski at Denver Broncos

Sebastian Janikowski had a strong role in Oakland’s unexpected 26-24 victory over Buffalo in Week 16. Seabass booted four field goals and a couple of extra points. While Janikowski will close out an undistinguished 2014 campaign with little fanfare and limited production in Denver, if Oakland can continue their growth spurt it is possible Seabass could be more of a success story next year.

Week 16 – Sebastian Janikowski vs. Buffalo Bills
In the NFL since 2000, Sebastian Janikowski’s leg strength continues to be strong. Janikowski hit a 53-yard field goal in Week 15. Unfortunately, the shabby state of the Oakland franchise completely drains his fantasy value. If he rises in the rankings in the future, it will not be until next year.

Week 15 – Sebastian Janikowski at Oakland Raiders
Sebastian Janikowski helped spark Oakland’s surprising 24-13 over San Francisco on Sunday. Janikowski gave Oakland an early lead with a 57-yard field goal and also added three extra points. The long kick proved Seabass still has plenty of leg. Nevertheless, the nice victory does not change the fact the Raiders need to make a lot of progress. Until that progression happens, Janikowski belongs in your league’s free agent pool.

Week 14 – Sebastian Janikowski vs. San Francisco 49ers
It is pretty hard for a kicker to pitch a shutout, but with Oakland getting demolished 52-0 by St. Louis last Sunday, Sebastian Janikowski was able to pull it off. Seabass has nowhere to go but up, but the long-time Raider is not going to help fantasy teams this weekend.
