Scouting report

GB TE Richard Rodgers - Week 8, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Denver
Rodgers' value is highly dependent on his ability to catch touchdown passes. He has two of those, but hasn't provided more than six receptions or 45 yards in any one game. The Broncos have allowed just two touchdowns to tight ends this season, but both came in their last game last week against Cleveland. Despite that, Rodgers isn't a highly recommended start this week.

GB TE Richard Rodgers - Week 6, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. San Diego
Rodgers is turning into a viable fantasy option. He's picked up 45 receiving yards in each of the past two weeks and had six catches to boot. Rodgers also has scored in every other week, so he's due this week. Considering San Diego has allowed three tight end scores this season, there is a good chance that happens. Rodgers won't be a high-volume guy, but he's a nice bye-week start.

GB TE Richard Rodgers - Week 5, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. St. Louis
Rodgers had five catches for 45 yards and a score at San Francisco last week and has now scored in two of four games this season. He's not a high-volume receiver, but Aaron Rodgers looks for him in the red zone. The Rams have allowed just four receptions to tight ends for 42 yards in the past two weeks combined, so you're pretty much hoping for a score if you start Rodgers.

GB TE Richard Rodgers - Week 4, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at San Francisco
Rodgers continued his mediocre output this season, catching just two passes for 15 yards last week. Andrew Quarless is now on short-term IR, which clarifies Rodgers' status as the No. 1 tight end for the Packers, but he doesn't see enough passes thrown his way to be a fantasy factor. The 49ers also have allowed just 11 tight end catches this season. Rodgers isn't a strong start, despite playing with the best quarterback in the league.

GB TE Richard Rodgers - Week 3, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs Kansas City
Rodgers caught three passes for the second consecutive game last week, and though his yardage total (31) wasn't anything great, he did score. This could be his role with the Packers in 2015 -- a few catches and a possible score. It's not enough to hang your hat in terms of fantasy play, though he could be a good bye week replacement with the right matchup. It won't be against a KC defense this week, however, as they've been solid against opposing tight ends.

GB TE Richard Rodgers - Week 2, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs Seattle
Rodgers remains a sleeper as he caught just three passes for 27 yards last week in the opener. Seattle did give up some passing yardage to the Rams tight ends last week (7-127-1), so there is some hope Rodgers can get into the end zone. It would be a stretch to bet on that, however. Only use Rodgers if you're desperate.

GB TE Richard Rodgers - Week 1, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Chicago
Look for Rodgers to take a big step forward this season. He may never be a viable starting tight end on a weekly basis, but he'll have some decent games here and there. He'll also be a threat to score each week as Aaron Rodgers will need a big body to throw to in the red zone. Rodgers should perform as a solid No. 2 fantasy tight end each week this season.
