TB TE O.J. Howard - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Arizona Cardinals

O.J. Howard has been a huge disappointment in 2019, but there's reason for hope in Week 10. He faces a Cardinals defense that has been notably bad against tight ends this year. Arizona is allowing an average of 90 receiving yards and one score to tight ends per game. Howard has been a full participant in practice this week so we expect him to return to the lineup. He could be a sneaky start in Week 10 against a very bad Arizona defense.

TB TE O.J. Howard - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Carolina Panthers

O.J. Howard has been of the biggest fantasy letdowns of 2019. He had yet another disappointing game, finishing with one lone catch for 10 yards in Week 5. This week he faces a Panthers team he finished with zero points against earlier in the year. And he's not alone in struggling against Carolina. The Panthers are allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points to the position.

TB TE O.J. Howard - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at New Orleans Saints

O.J. Howard finished 3-33 in Week 4 in yet another disappointing game for him. He was out-produced by Cameron Brate who finished 3-36-1. Howard has 10 receptions through four games, none of which have been for a touchdown. He gets an OK matchup against the Saints this week, but don't expect a bunch out of Howard. He's averaging about three receptions for 30+ yards in his four games, so a similar stat line is likely. He's on the outskirts of TE1 territory this week.

TB TE O.J. Howard - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Los Angeles Rams

O.J. Howard finished 3-66 on four targets in Week 3. It was a solid bounce-back game following his goose egg in Week 2. Howard isn't an elite option at tight end this year as some thought he could be, but he can still put up low-end TE1 numbers. He may struggle in Week 4 against the Rams, however, as L.A. has been tough on tight ends in 2019. The Rams have allowed just 77 yards to the position through three games, which is the second-fewest in the league. Howard is a lower-end TE1 choice in Week 4.

TB TE O.J. Howard - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. New York Giants

O.J. Howard dropped a big fat zero in everyone's lineups last week as they just stared at that burning hole from Thursday to Monday hoping it would change. When asked why Howard did literally nothing, Bruce Arians responded, "You'd probably have to ask him. He's got so much talent and he can play a heck of a lot better than he's playing." We'd hope to see Howard bounce back this week in a favorable matchup against the Giants. You may not fully trust him like you did at the start of the year, but there's clear TE1 potential here in Week 3.

TB TE O.J. Howard - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Carolina Panthers

O.J. Howard had a solid, but not spectacular Week 1 debut. He saw five targets, finishing with four receptions for 32 yards. This should be close to what Howard's floor is for the rest of the season. This week, he draws a favorable matchup against the Panthers. He had a good showing against Carolina in his lone game against them a year ago, finishing with four receptions for 53 yards and two touchdowns. He's inside of TE1 territory for Week 2.

TB TE O.J. Howard - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. San Francisco 49ers

O.J. Howard finished as the 10th overall tight end in standard formats last year despite only playing in 10 games. If he's able to stay healthy this year, he could easily have his name mentioned alongside top-tier tight ends like Travis Kelce, Zach Ertz and George Kittle. He certainly has the talent, and is in what should be a highly productive passing offense.

He does draw a tough Week 1 matchup against the 49ers, however. San Francisco limited receptions to tight ends a year ago, holding the position to just 59 on the season, which was tied for the fourth-fewest. Howard may not be as productive as he can be this week, but he's still a solid TE1 play.
