DAL WR Michael Gallup - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 versus Arizona Cardinals

Gallup lacked receptions in Week 16 but turned in his best yards per reception of the season. Week 17 could be a lot more of the same with numerous mouths to feed in Dallas’s offense. Gallup saw five targets for the second straight week after back-to-back nine-target games. He is the highest variance receiver of the Dallas trio because the majority of his snaps come in three-wide sets. Gallup is a flex option on a deep and productive offense.

DAL WR Michael Gallup - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 versus Washington Football Team

Gallup has been indispensable as the third wideout for Dallas and has out-produced Amari Cooper over the past three weeks with Dallas’s WR trio healthy. He will be a WR3 Week 16 with the Washington Football Team coming to town. WFT has been generous to opposing wideouts, ranking 27th in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed (aFPA). Week 16 looks like a good week for the Dallas passing attack to bounce back.

DAL WR Michael Gallup - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at New York Giants

In Amari Cooper’s first game back with a full workload, Gallup saw his snap percentage drop below 90% for the first time since returning from injury Week 10. That said, Gallup saw nine targets and landed 60 receiving yards despite Dak Prescott having an off game. Gallup has established himself as more than the third wideout on a good offense. Gallup is a top wideout with the ability to succeed across multiple routes at different areas of the field. The Giants have their work cut out for them.

DAL WR Michael Gallup - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Washington Football Team

Gallup has seen 5, 10, 8, and 9 targets in four games since returning from injury and has played at least 91% of snaps in three straight games. He is back! The unsung WR3 for Dallas could also see more work for a second straight week with Amari Cooper working back from COVID-19. He gets a solid matchup against the WFT secondary allowing 12.71 yards per catch this season and has allowed 15 (!) wideouts to top that average (min. two receptions). Start Gallup confidently with WR3 expectations.

DAL WR Michael Gallup - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at New Orleans Saints

To say Gallup stepped up to be Dallas’s WR1 Week 12 is an understatement. Gallup logged his first 100-yard receiving game of 2021 as the offense was without Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb. Lamb is expected to return Week 13, but that should not hurt Gallup’s fantasy upside. He has played at least 94% of snaps with the receiving room missing players, a number he should be expected to eclipse once again with Amari Cooper not expected to play as of Wednesday morning. Gallup is very much in WR2 territory against one of the worst defenses in football against wideouts according to 4for4’s schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed tool.

DAL WR Michael Gallup - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 versus Las Vegas Raiders

Gallup looked good in his return and became the de facto WR1 after CeeDee Lamb left Week 11’s game with a concussion. Gallup could be the team’s top target Week 12 if Lamb is out but has a difficult matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. If Gallup is the top wideout, expect CB Casey Hayward Jr. to cover Gallup with the idea of taking out Dallas’s top option from a depleted receiving corps. Gallup is a lock in fantasy lineups for opportunity alone, but he has a shaky fantasy floor.

DAL WR Michael Gallup - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Kansas City Chiefs

We missed you, Michael! Gallup saw 53% of snaps as the third wideout for Dallas and beat out teammate Amari Cooper with five targets. Kansas City has yet to allow three receivers on the same team to be successful in the same game, so Gallup has his work cut out for him in Week 11. Or will it be Cooper or Lamb that has to fight for Week 11 relevancy?
