ATL QB Matt Ryan - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
On the road against the Carolina Panthers, Ryan was 21/31 for 311 yards, one touchdown, and finished as the QB14.

Ryan has a great home matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who are one of the biggest pass funnels in the entire league. Their defense is dead last against quarterbacks but the best against running backs, per our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. The over/under opened at 53 points but has been bet down to 51. The total has come down two points but it is still this week’s highest mark. 4for4 rankings expert John Paulsen has Ryan ranked as the QB2. Ryan is a safe start across all league formats.

ATL QB Matt Ryan - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Carolina Panthers
In Week 10, Ryan was 20/35 for 182 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and finished as the QB15.

Ryan has a tough matchup on the road as a 4.5 point underdog against the Carolina Panthers who are fifth-best against the quarterback position, per our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. The Panthers are better at defending the pass than the run so look for the Atlanta offense to try to establish the run. This game has a decent over/under (49.5) and the Falcons could be forced to attempt more passes if they fall behind early. 4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Ryan ranked as the QB11.

ATL QB Matt Ryan - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at New Orleans Saints
The Falcons had a bye in Week 9.

Ryan was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday but on Friday, Head Coach Dan Quinn said Ryan would play this week. Ryan has a difficult matchup on the road against the New Orleans Saints whose defense is top ten in sack rate and QB hit rate. They are ranked sixteenth against the quarterback position, per our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. This game has the second-highest over/under (51) and could potentially turn into a shootout. 4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Ryan ranked as a low-end QB1.

ATL QB Matt Ryan - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Seattle Seahawks
Update: Matt Ryan has been ruled out for Week 8

In Week 7, he was 16/27 for 159 yards, zero touchdowns, one interception, and finished as the worst fantasy quarterback, QB31. Part of his poor performance can be attributed to him leaving the game in the fourth quarter with a sprained right ankle.

Ryan did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday but did practice on Friday. Practicing Friday is a good sign towards Ryan playing on Sunday but monitor his status closely over the weekend and on Sunday morning. If Ryan plays, he will look to bounce back at home against Seattle, who are 12th-worst against the quarterback position, per our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. This game has the highest over/under (53) and could turn into a shootout. 4for4 rankings expert John Paulsen has Ryan ranked as the QB11.
