CHI TE Jimmy Graham - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. New Orleans Saints

Jimmy Graham has been pretty consistent in games where Nick Foles has started. In the four games with Foles under center, Graham's yardage totals have been this: 33 yards, 33 yards, 34 yards, 31 yards. He's averaged 4.3 receptions in that span, which isn't terrible. He gets a favorable matchup against the Saints this week (No. 29 aFPA), but we're projecting him to finish with his typical 30-40 yards. He's in low-end TE1 territory for Week 8.

CHI TE Jimmy Graham - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Los Angeles Rams

Jimmy Graham has become fairly consistent with his production, finishing 4-33, 3-33-1 and 5-34 in his last three games, respectively. While these aren't Travis Kelce like numbers, they are at least something, and they are consistent. And with tight end being such a shallow position, this gives Graham some value as a low-end TE1 play. He faces a Rams defense that let George Kittle run wild (7-109-1) a week ago. Graham isn't quite the talent of Kittle at this stage in his career, but the matchup at least puts Graham in TE1 territory.

CHI TE Jimmy Graham - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Carolina Panthers

Jimmy Graham is far from his days where he was a dominating tight end, but he's found a solid role in Chicago this season. He's the No. 5 scoring tight end in fantasy so far thanks to his four touchdown receptions. However, Graham has also finished below 35 receiving yards in all but one game. In other words, he's a touchdown-dependent tight end, who just happens to score a lot. This week he faces a Panthers defense that's allowed just one touchdown to a tight end this season. Graham is a boom-or-bust low-end TE1 play in Week 6.

CHI TE Jimmy Graham - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

After a breakout Week 4 game, Jimmy Graham came back down to reality in Week 4. He wasn't awful, finishing 4-33 on five targets. He's now had at least three receptions in three of his four games this season and is No. 11 among tight ends in receptions (14) this season. He should be considered a fringe TE1 play moving forward. This week he'll face a Bucs defense that has only allowed one score to tight ends all season.

CHI TE Jimmy Graham - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Colts

Jimmy Graham had a breakout game last week, finishing 6-60-2 on 10 targets. While one of Graham's touchdowns came from Mitch Trubisky, the bulk of his production came after Nick Foles took over. Graham had just two targets from Trubisky in the first half (and first drive of the second half), and saw eight targets from Foles. We have to wait and see if this is an actual trend, but it at least puts Graham back on the fantasy radar. He's a lower-end TE1 in Week 4 in a tough matchup (No. 7 aFPA TE) against the Colts.

CHI TE Jimmy Graham - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Atlanta Falcons

After seeing seven targets in Week 1, Jimmy Graham saw just one target in Week 2. He also saw a decrease in playing time, going from 80% of the offensive snaps to 62% in Week 2. The Bears have been mixing in both Demetrius Harris and Cole Kmet into the lineups. Graham is a touchdown dependent fantasy option.

CHI TE Jimmy Graham - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. New York Giants

Jimmy Graham had an interesting Week 1. He saw a solid seven targets, but only finished with 25 yards on three receptions. He also scored a touchdown while playing 80% of the offensive snaps. Graham's best days are behind him, but if he's able to continue to get seven targets in games he could have value as a low-end TE1. As for now, he should be viewed as a TE2 you can avoid for Week 2 in a matchup against the Giants.
