DAL TE Jason Witten - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Jason Witten finally woke up with 7 receptions on 7 targets, but it was the short passing game that was working for Dallas as he ended up with only 59 yards. Still, it was nice to see Witten more involved after struggling in recent weeks.

The Cowboys face the Eagles, who are ranked 21st in aFPA to tight ends. If you are going to play Witten this week, he ranks as a low-end TE1 for Week 11. There might be a better option, but Witten still is good enough to start.

DAL TE Jason Witten - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Atlanta Falcons

Jason Witten was very quiet last week with only 1 target and 1 reception. We have seen that from the veteran tight end as he has not been consistent like he usually has been throughout his career.

He has a tough matchup this week against the Falcons, who are ranked eighth in aFPA to tight ends. He only rates as a high-end TE2 for Week 10, so see if you can find a better option.

DAL TE Jason Witten - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

After a great Week 5 performance against Green Bay, Jason Witten has put up average numbers the past couple of weeks. He isn't getting the targets he needs to be a steady TE1 mostly because Dallas has so many options in the offense.

Witten will face the Chiefs, who are ranked 15th in aFPA to tight ends. We expect his numbers to be no worse than the last two games, and if he gets a couple of more targets, he could really help his owners this week. Start him as a low-end TE1 for Week 9.

DAL TE Jason Witten - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Washington

Jason Witten was back in the end zone for the first time since Week 2 which definitely boosted his performance last week. After a strong 10-target performance the previous game against Green Bay, Witten's targets fell to 4, which has been common since his fast start.

The Cowboys face Washington, who is ranked 28th in aFPA to tight ends. If they target Witten, he should have a decent day. That matchup helps push Witten to a low-end TE1 rating this week. Start in most formats, especially PPR leagues.

DAL TE Jason Witten - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at San Francisco 49ers

After two subpar performances, Jason Witten bounced back against the Packers with 10 targets that produced 8 receptions for 61 yards. He still has not scored a touchdown since Week 2, but is still considered a red zone threat for Dallas.

Witten faces the 49ers, who are ranked third in aFPA to tight ends. San Francisco's defense has struggled this season, but has handled opposing tight ends pretty well. That knocks Witten down to a high-end TE2. It's not the best week to start him unless you don't have a better option.

DAL TE Jason Witten - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Green Bay Packers

After a great start to the season, Jason Witten's numbers have fallen off the charts. Weeks 1 and 2: 17 receptions. Weeks 3 and 4: 2 receptions. More importantly, he has had only 6ix targets the past two weeks. It's not time to give up on Witten, but it has to be discouraging after watching him look like a younger version of himself early in the season.

Green Bay is ranked first in aFPA to tight ends, but the tough matchup shouldn't discourage you. Witten will get back involved with the offense and put up good enough numbers to consider him a TE1 for Week 7.

DAL TE Jason Witten - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Los Angeles Rams

Everyone was getting excited about the start to Jason Witten's 2017 season, but it wasn't a very good Week 3 for him. After 17 receptions through two weeks, he was held to 1 catch for 3 yards. Last season, Witten didn't have many big games but he also didn't have duds like that.

He has a good chance to bounce back against an average Rams pass defense. Don't think that Witten won't be in QB Dak Prescott's sights. We saw the confidence he has him in early in the season.

Start Witten as a solid TE for Week 4 in all leagues and formats and expect a bounce back performance.
