Scouting report

ARI WR Jaron Brown - Week 13, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 – Jaron Brown vs. Atlanta

Jaron Brown stepped in as the WR3 last week with Larry Fitzgerald injured and he wound up with three catches on six targets. He did end up with only 24 yards on the day, but it was good to see him getting some action in relief duty. Against the Falcons this week, there’s some upside for all of the Cardinals pass catchers, as Atlanta ranks dead last in passing yards allowed per game. However, Brown’s spot on the depth chart makes him a risky start, and unless you’re in a very deep league, he should remain on waivers at this time.

ARI WR Jaron Brown - Week 12, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 – Jaron Brown vs. Seattle
Jaron Brown had one catch for four yards against the Lions last week and he seems to have earned a few snaps a game over Ted Ginn in the Arizona passing game. There’s no reason to expect big things from him however, as the top three starters in Arizona are heavily entrenched in their positions and Brown will likely remain a backup option. He should remain on waivers.

ARI WR Jaron Brown - Week 11, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 – Jaron Brown vs. Detroit
Jaron Brown had three catches and 35 yards last week against the Rams and he seems to have taken over the WR4 job from Ted Ginn at this time. Both players will continue to see limited snaps however, as the top three guys on the roster are pretty much entrenched at this time. Brown should remain on waivers, but keep an eye on him as his role expands.

ARI WR Jaron Brown - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 – Jaron Brown vs. St. Louis
Jaron Brown had only two catches for 15 yards last week against Dallas, but he did score a touchdown and seems to be challenging Ted Ginn on the depth chart. The bad news is that he’s still fourth in line at the wide receiver position, and that status is unlikely to change, making him way too risky of a fantasy option to add to your roster at this time.

ARI WR Jaron Brown - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 – Jaron Brown vs. Dallas
Jaron Brown made an appearance last week, catching one pass for seven yards against the Eagles. He may be pushing or passing Ted Ginn for WR4 duty in Arizona, but he has no chance of entering a top three spot on the depth chart and fantasy owners should leave Brown on waivers.

ARI WR Jaron Brown - Week 2, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 – Jaron Brown vs. New York Giants
Jaron Brown had only one catch and six yards against the Chargers last week, and while Arizona runs an offense that often features five receivers, his spot as a battling fourth option in the passing game doesn’t really do much for his fantasy potential. Clearly outplayed by the rookie John Brown, Jaron Brown will be fighting with Ted Ginn for playing time and is not currently worthy of a fantasy roster spot.

ARI WR Jaron Brown - Week 1, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 – Jaron Brown vs. San Diego
Jaron Brown played some spot duty last year and ended up with 140 yards and a touchdown. This season he’ll be in a familiar situation, battling for snaps; only this time it’ll be with Ted Ginn and rookie John Brown rather than Andre Roberts, who is now in Washington. Brown is a risky option and a long shot to rise higher than fourth on the depth chart, so he should remain on waivers for now.
