Scouting report

TB QB Jameis Winston - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Detroit Lions

Jameis Winston had arguably the most Jameis Winston game of his career last week. He finished with 456 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions (with one rushing score as well). While his turnovers can hurt his numbers in fantasy (like in Week 1), overall they don't affect his fantasy production too much because he just keeps producing big numbers. He's had nine games of 300 or more passing yards (four with 380+) and eight multi-touchdown games. He gets a great matchup this week against the Lions, who have allowed the third-most passing yards in the league. Winston should be viewed as a strong QB1 play in Week 15.

TB QB Jameis Winston - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Indianapolis Colts

Jameis Winston only turned the ball over once last week, so he's making small improvements there. He did, however, take a step back in being productive as he had no touchdowns last week, and finished below 300 yards passing for the first time since Week 5. This was Winston's only game of the season without a score, so view it more as an anomaly than a sign of things to come. He should bounce back this week against the Colts where he can be viewed as a QB1 option.

TB QB Jameis Winston - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Jacksonville Jaguars

Jameis Winston had another classic Jameis Winston performance last week, throwing for 313 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. His dedication to turning the ball over allows him to throw for more yards as he's now had over 300 yards in eight of his last nine games. He's also had multiple touchdown passes in seven of those nine games. His turnovers cost his team in real life, but are only a minor inconvenience most weeks for fantasy. This week he faces a Jaguars defense that's allowed the third-most fantasy points to quarterbacks over the past four weeks. We like Winston as a solid QB1 play this week against Jacksonville.

TB QB Jameis Winston - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Atlanta Falcons

Jameis Winston had another stereotypical Jameis Winston game last week. He looked good at times, finishing with 313 passing yards and two touchdowns. But he also looked really bad at times, finishing with four interceptions. He gets an interesting matchup this week against the Falcons who have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. But Atlanta has been a lot tougher in recent weeks, allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks in the last two weeks. Expect another Winston-esque game where he'll throw for 300+ yards with a chance of touchdowns and a likely chance of many turnovers. We like him as a QB1.

TB QB Jameis Winston - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. New Orleans Saints

Jameis Winston has thrown for over 300 yards in the fourth straight game, averaging 348.5 passing yards in that span. He's also rushed for 102 yards in those games. But while the yards are there, the touchdowns have been rare and the turnovers have been expected. He's thrown 6 touchdowns to nine interceptions while also losing four fumbles (13 total turnovers) in those four games. Long story short: Winston is a frustrating player to play in fantasy. He'll face the Saints this week, a team he played against earlier in the year. He threw for 204 yards with two touchdowns and no turnovers. You can likely expect somewhat similar numbers, except with more yards and more turnovers. He's a lower-end QB1 this week.

TB QB Jameis Winston - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Arizona Cardinals

Jameis Winston had another solid outing last week, finishing with 335 yards and two touchdowns. He also shockingly didn't throw an interception, but he did fumble the football. Winston has played well from a fantasy perspective lately, finishing with at least 300 passing yards in five of his last six games. He's also thrown two or more touchdowns in all but one of those games. Look for another big game from him this week as he gets a favorable matchup against the Cardinals who are allowing the most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Winston should be viewed as a very strong QB1 this week.

TB QB Jameis Winston - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Seattle Seahawks

Jameis Winston had a very Jameis Winston-like game last week. There was the good: 301 passing yards, two touchdowns, 53 rushing yards. And the bad: 2 interceptions, 2 fumbles. The 53 rushing yards were a luxury as Winston typically doesn't run for so much. But the rest is expected as Winston can produce some big numbers on offense, but usually, it's because of his turnovers and Tampa Bay needs to throw to get back in. Expect a similar performance from him this week in a decent matchup against the Seahawks. He can be a solid bye-week filler as a low-end QB1 this week.
