Scouting report

LV WR Hunter Renfrow - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Indianapolis Colts

Hunter Renfrow had three catches for 40 yards and a touchdown last week against the Broncos. It was nice to see him find the end zone, but it’s a little concerning to see only eight targets in two games after being such a target hog for much of the season.

This week, Renfrow faces a Colts defense that ranks sixth in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. Renfrow should get back on track in this one. Renfrow lines up in the slot on 65% of his offensive snaps, and that’s where Kenny Moore lines up 68% of the time. Moore has been a great slash-defender and is headed to the Pro Bowl, but in strict coverage, he ranks 48th according to PFF. Start Renfrow.

LV WR Hunter Renfrow - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Denver Broncos

Hunter Renfrow was disappointing last week against a tough Browns defense, catching just three balls for 32 yards. His five targets were tied for his second-least of the season and he was also held out of the end zone.

This week, Renfrow faces a Broncos defense that ranks 15th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. Renfrow remains the primary pass-catcher in the Raiders’ offense, so he should bounce back this week. Expect another steady dose of targets headed his way, giving him a nice floor, particularly in PPR formats. We have Renfrow ranked as a solid WR2 option and he should be active in all leagues.

LV WR Hunter Renfrow - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Cleveland Browns

Hunter Renfrow had a great game last week, hauling in 13 of 14 targets for 117 yards and a touchdown. Renfrow continues to be the primary target in the receiving corps and it was great to see him back in the end zone after being left out in the previous three games. Renfrow definitely has benefitted from the lack of Darren Waller, but even before Waller was hurt, he was racking up targets.

This week, Renfrow faces a Browns defense that ranks 19th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. He’s been on such a roll lately, and with Waller nicked up and a decent matchup, he should be considered a must-start in all leagues. We have him ranked as a high-end WR2 option this week and expect another slew of targets to head his way against Cleveland.

LV WR Hunter Renfrow - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Kansas City Chiefs

With nine catches and 102 yards against Washington last week, Hunter Renfrow is now ninth in the league with 73 receptions. Renfrow has been a target hog for the Raiders and should continue to see consistent looks for the rest of the season, with very little competition for looks in the receiving corps.

This week, Renfrow faces a Chiefs defense that ranks fourth in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. Even in a tough matchup, however, Renfrow’s targets should be high enough to make him a viable WR2 option, especially given the likely negative game script. Start him.

LV WR Hunter Renfrow - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Washington Football Team

Hunter Renfrow had a nice Thanksgiving game against the Cowboys, catching eight of his nine targets for 134 yards in a Las Vegas victory. Renfrow has double-digit PPR points and at least eight targets in four of his last five games and has become the go-to wide receiver in the Raiders offense.

This week, Renfrow faces a Washington defense that ranks 26th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. With a great matchup and a steady role in the offense, we have Renfrow ranked as a fringe WR2 option this week, and he’s especially worth considering in full-PPR formats. Start him.

LV WR Hunter Renfrow - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Dallas Cowboys

Hunter Renfrow caught a modest four balls for 30 yards last week against the Bengals. Only four targets were surprising for the slot receiver since the Raiders got down early and struggled to keep the game competitive. Renfrow is still a quality PPR option, as he has at least seven targets in seven games this year, but the Raiders offense is kind of a mess.

This week, Renfrow faces a Cowboys defense that ranks 20th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. It’s a nice matchup and the Cowboys should theoretically keep the Raiders throwing, so he has some WR3 potential, with upside in PPR formats.

LV WR Hunter Renfrow - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Hunter Renfrow had seven catches for 46 yards and a touchdown last week in a blowout loss to the Chiefs. Renfrow hasn’t been putting up big yardage, but it was his second straight week with seven catches and second straight week with a touchdown. He and Darren Waller are the only consistent targets in the Raiders’ offense and he has a nice PPR floor during most weeks.

This week, Renfrow faces a Bengals defense that ranks 24th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. If you need a body for your fantasy lineup, Renfrow should provide a decent shot at double-digit PPR points again in a nice matchup. We have him ranked as a solid WR3 or flex option.
