Scouting report

MIN WR Greg Jennings - Week 12, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Greg Jennings - Week 12 vs. Green Bay Packers

Greg Jennings has a low ceiling and a low floor. Last week against Chicago he finished with one reception for four yards. Ouch. It's actually the second time this season he's put up that stat line.

The Vikings' passing offense isn't putting up enough numbers. At best Jennings is a WR4 in a favorable matchup.

MIN WR Greg Jennings - Week 11, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Greg Jennings - Week 11 vs. Chicago

In Week 9 Greg Jennings had his fourth game of the season with 70-80 yards receiving. That appears to be his ceiling. He's not a huge threat to score as he has just two touchdowns this season. His biggest value comes in PPR formats as sometimes he catches a lot of short passes.

Jennings should best be viewed as a WR4.

MIN WR Greg Jennings - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Greg Jennings - Week 9 vs. Washington

Greg Jennings caught his second touchdown of the season last week. He finished with three receptions for 38 yards and the score. His mid-30-yard production is typical of what we've seen from him lately. The Vikings aren't a high-powered offense, so Jennings isn't an ideal fantasy player. His ceiling is very limited.

He'll get a favorable matchup this week against Washington. The Redskins have allowed a touchdown to a receiver in four consecutive games. If Teddy Bridgewater can get a rhythm going, Jennings should have a decent day. He's a low-end WR3 or WR4.

MIN WR Greg Jennings - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Greg Jennings - Week 8 vs. Tampa Bay

Greg Jennings set a season high in receiving yards last week when he hauled in six passes for 77 yards. It's the third time he's surpassed the 70-yard mark this season. He's been held without a touchdown for six straight games, though. His upside is extremely limited in this offense.

He'll get a favorable matchup this week. The Buccaneers are allowing the most fantasy points to opposing wideouts. Receivers have caught 11 touchdowns against Tampa Bay, the second worst in the league.

Jennings has a chance for a good game, but as I mentioned earlier his ceiling isn't very high. He'll be a low-end WR3 option this week.

MIN WR Greg Jennings - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Greg Jennings - Week 7 vs. Buffalo

Greg Jennings finished Week 6 with three receptions for 33 yards on six targets. It's hard to take too much away from this performance as the entire Vikings' offense struggled in a difficult matchup.

Jennings leads the Vikings in targets (35), receptions (20) and receiving yards (268). He's the best fantasy option amongst the Vikings receivers, but that's not saying much.

He has a favorable matchup against Buffalo, but should only be used as a WR4.

MIN WR Greg Jennings - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Greg Jennings - Week 6 vs. Detroit

Greg Jennings currently leads his team in targets (29), receptions (17) and yards (235). Although, that's not saying much. The receiving options in Minnesota haven't been impressive this season. Jennings' numbers could improve with Teddy Bridgewater at quarterback, but we'll need a larger sample size.

Jennings draws a tough opponent this week against Detroit. The Lions have allowed just two touchdowns to receivers all season. He should be used as a WR4.

MIN WR Greg Jennings - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Greg Jennings - Week 5 vs. Green Bay

Greg Jennings saw four targets in last week's game and hauled in three passes for 72 yards. This now makes back-to-back games of 70 receiving yards for Jennings. That's really about all one should expect from Jennings on a weekly basis. His ceiling is very limited.

This week he'll go up against his former team, Green Bay. The Packers have been fairly tough against wideouts this season. Don't expect a big game from Jennings. He should be used as a WR4.
