When he took the job, new HC Ben McAdoo said the Giants would be “an up-tempo, attacking-style offense” — words that are like salsa music to Victor Cruz’s ears.

“I’m for all [going] up-tempo, getting a lot of catches, making a lot of plays,” he said. “That’s what I want to do — that’s kind of right up my alley. I’m excited to hear that, and I’m excited to get in there and learn the offense and get it going.”

With unrestricted free agent Hakeem Nicks uncertain to return, the Giants will look to Jernel Jernigan, who impressed at the end of this past season, to replace Nicks’ production, should he leave.

If Nicks leaves, Jernigan and Randle would likely see an uptick in snaps and targets. For his part, Jernigan was the #2 WR over the final three weeks of the season. It's a small sample, but it underlines his upside when he gets a good amount of playing time. As for the offense, Eli Manning has the experience to push the tempo and make adjustments at the line of scrimmage. The Giants offense should be better in 2014.
