Scouting report

DAL TE Dalton Schultz - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Tennessee Titans
In a game with a ton of yards and a lot of points scored, Dalton Schultz was rather disappointing. Recording just three catches for 43 yards, this was not the week we had hoped for.

Unfortunately, unless you are rostering a George Kittle or Travis Kelce, Schultz is most likely a must start. His upside on this Dallas offense is still much higher than some of the other options. Start him as a TE1 and pray for a touchdown.

DAL TE Dalton Schultz - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Philadelphia Eagles
A disappointing week for Dalton Schultz in a matchup where the scoring was plenty. Logging just two catches for 15 yards, we all expected more.

Just like any other week, I am still starting Schultz and hoping he can score. The fact that he plays on a great offense that puts up yards and points leaves the door open for him to hit big any given week. Unless you have a clear better option, just set it and forget it.

DAL TE Dalton Schultz - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Jacksonville Jaguars
Doing most of his damage late in the game, Dalton Schultz ended the week making fantasy managers rather happy. Leading Dallas in receiving, he put up six catches for 87 yards.

Another big week could be in store for Schultz. The Jacksonville defense just allowed the combination of Austin Hooper and Chigoziem Okonkwo to put up 11 catches for 113 yards and a touchdown. This is an encouraging sign for the Dallas tight end. Start him as a TE1.

DAL TE Dalton Schultz - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Houston Texans
Unfortunately, Dalton Schultz failed to find the end zone last week. This resulted in just two catches for for 33 yards. While on the surface this is a bad day, he was actually the second leading receiver for Dallas.

As I say every week about the tight end landscape being so brutal, you are starting Schultz. In a week where I think the passing and receiving yards will be low, we are hoping Schultz can punch in a score.

DAL TE Dalton Schultz - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Indianapolis Colts
The big week fantasy managers desperately needed finally came to fruition. Catching four passes for 31 yards, Dalton Schultz was able to find the end zone twice. A monster day for a position that has been a dead zone all season.

I expect Schultz to hover around the second or third option in the passing attack this week. You are obviously starting him, but a touchdown will most likely be needed for managers to feel good about him this week.

DAL TE Dalton Schultz - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. New York Giants
Just when Dalton Schultz was catching fire, he cools off. Securing three catches for just 22 yards, fantasy managers were not happy.

Unfortunately, because of how bad the tight end position is in fantasy football, Schultz is still a must start. On a high powered offense with Prescott under center, he still remains a good option.

DAL TE Dalton Schultz - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Minnesota Vikings
Another solid performance from Dalton Schultz. Logging six catches for 54 yards and a touchdown, Schultz has solidified himself as a sure thing TE1.

Minnesota allowed Dawson Knox to put up four catches for 57 yards. This may not seem like a lot, but for a tight end, I will happily take this. Additionally, it looks like Schultz is the second option in the passing attack right now. A pretty good spot to be in.
