JAX WR Christian Kirk - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Denver Broncos (London)

Christian Kirk had his best game of the season since the opening week in Week 7 against the Giants. Kirk saw 10 targets, his second-largest amount this season, and caught a season-high seven balls for 96 yards. He also found time for a five-yard rushing attempt and attempted a pass. Kirk put up 13.6 Half-PPR points and finished as the WR16. He is the WR19 in fantasy points per game this season.

Kirk faces a daunting task if he wants to be fantasy relevant in Week 8 as the Jaguars take on the Broncos in London. No team is allowing fewer aFPA to wide receivers this season than the Broncos. They've surrendered the second-fewest receiving yards to wide receivers in 2022 and a single wide receiver touchdown. Kirk will do well to perform above the low end of the WR2 scale this week.

JAX WR Christian Kirk - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs New York Giants

Despite the touchdown deodorant his first score since Week 3 brought, Christian Kirk disappointed his fantasy managers once again in Week 6. Kirk saw five targets and caught four of them, but only amassed a meager 24 yards. Kirk scored 8.8 Half-PPR points and finished as the WR30.

Kirk will look for a strong showing against the Giants in Week 7, a stronger showing than the 3-14-0 line he posted against them as a Cardinal back in 2020. The Giants rank 12th in aFPA to wide receivers this year. Kirk projects as a mid-tier WR2 this week.

JAX WR Christian Kirk - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Indianapolis Colts

The shine is well and truly off Christian Kirk. Week 5 saw him post his worst outputs as a Jaguar, with Kirk catching a single pass for 11 yards. Kirk's yardage has dropped in four straight games, and he has gone two games without a touchdown. 90 wide receivers scored more fantasy points than Kirk in Week 5.

Kirk will look to return to relevance against the Colts in Week 6, a team who he enjoyed himself against in Week 2. Kirk caught all six of his targets for 78 yards and two touchdowns back then on his way to WR7 numbers. Still, the Colts rank 9th in aFPA to wide receivers, so Kirk won't have it all his own way. He should be viewed as a low-end WR2 in Week 6.

JAX WR Christian Kirk - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs Houston Texans

Week 4 was comfortably Christian Kirk's worst as a Jacksonville Jaguar. He saw six targets but caught just two balls for 60 scoreless yards. Kirk also registered his first rushing attempt of the season, but this only brought him another three yards. Kirk's yardage has gone down every week of the season. After starting with 117 in Week 1, he has recorded 78, 72 and 60 in his last three games. Kirk finished Week 4 with 7.3 Half-PPR points as the WR42.

Kirk and his fantasy managers will be looking for a bounceback in Week 5 when the Jaguars take on the Texans. The Texans are currently ranked No. 18 in aFPA to wide receivers, so this will be no cakewalk. Still, Kirk projects for a high-end WR2 type outing in Week 5.

JAX WR Christian Kirk - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Philadelphia Eagles

Week 3 was another efficient day at the office for Christian Kirk. He saw nine targets in the win over the Chargers, reeling in six for 72 yards and his third touchdown of the season. Kirk amassed 16.2 Half-PPR points, good for WR14 numbers last week. Through three games, Kirk is commanding a 25% target share, averaging nine targets and 89 yards per game. He is currently the WR6 in Half PPR formats for the season.

Kirk faces a seriously stiff test in Week 4 against the Eagles. They rank No.1 in aFPA to wide receivers this season. Assuming Kirk continues to draw his weekly number of targets, he should be safely classed as a high-end WR2 in Week 4.

JAX WR Christian Kirk - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Los Angeles Chargers

Christian Kirk is enjoying quite the start to his time with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Last week, he caught all six of his targets for 78 yards and two touchdowns against the Colts, giving him 22.8 Half PPR points. He was the WR7 both for Week 2 and the season overall. Kirk has commanded 26.15 of the Jaguars' targets after two games.

Kirk's workload alone should keep him in contention for one of the top-12 performers at wide receiver this week, even though his matchup against the Chargers isn't the easiest on the slate. Still, volume is king when it comes to fantasy football, and at present Kirk has the eye of his quarterback. He's a solid WR2 option.

JAX WR Christian Kirk - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Indianapolis Colts

Christian Kirk was paid big money to come into Jacksonville and be the focal point of the passing attack. After one week, this situation seems to have come to pass. Kirk commanded a 30.8% target share in Week 1, reeling in six of his 12 targets for 117 yards. His deeds earned him 14.7 fantasy points in Half PPR formats, giving him WR19 numbers for the week.

The Colts allowed the Texans wide receivers to combine for 12 receptions and 139 yards last week, but managed to hold them out of the end zone. Kirk is not likely to dismantle the Colts' secondary in Week 2, but if his Week 1 usage carries over then he should be able to remain a viable WR2 option.
