Scouting report

NO WR Chris Olave - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

We made it through two rough weeks and now we're back on track with Chris Olave. 96 yards on seven catches last week against the Texans. Now, he is dealing with a toe injury but looks to be okay for Thursday against the Jaguars. If he plays, he's a solid WR2, even against a solid Jacksonville defense. Just keep an eye on the injury report and inactives.

NO WR Chris Olave - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Houston Texans

It’s understandable to feel frustrated right now with Chris Olave. He has just 16 yards on three catches in the last two games. That said, the Saints didn’t have to throw a ton — just 26 attempts in their blowout win over the Patriots — but it’s still interesting to see Olave’s number so down. He has a chance to get right this week against the Texans and we still like him as a solid WR2 in your leagues this week.

NO WR Chris Olave - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at New England Patriots

Chris Olave had opportunities to gain solid yardage, but in the end, he came away with just one catch for four yards. Credit Tampa Bay for basically making Olave invisible in their impressive win last week. But with the talent of Olave, this game is very likely going to prove to be an outlier for Olave. He should bounce back against a Patriots defense that is now without Christian Gonzalez and Matthew Judon but did acquire J.C. Jackson. You're just fine to keep Olave in your lineup.

NO WR Chris Olave - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Chris Olave is off to an incredible start, perhaps out to prove he should have been Offensive Rookie of the Year last season. He is averaging about 100 yards per game. The only downside is he has yet to find the end zone. The question now is how much can he sustain this success with Jameis Winston back in the lineup thanks to the injury to Derek Carr. We’re thinking Olave’s talent will overcome the quarterback play, continuing to make him a strong WR1 against the Buccaneers. He gets too many targets not to be ignored.

NO WR Chris Olave - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Green Bay Packers

Chris Olave has picked up right where he left off as a rookie despite the quarterback change not producing much early on. Olave is averaging almost 100 yards per game with 14 total catches. He should see a bit of Jaire Alexander this week, but his talent makes him too good to put on the bench, especially this early in the season. Olave is a solid WR1 going forward.

NO WR Chris Olave - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Carolina Panthers

Chris Olave picked up right where he left off in 2022 with a 100-yard performance in Week 1 against the Titans. Olave also led the team with 10 targets, quickly gaining a connection with Derek Carr. That should continue, especially against a banged-up Carolina secondary with Jaycee Horn injured. Olave is right on the cusp of WR1 territory.

NO WR Chris Olave - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Tennessee Titans

Coming off a sensational rookie season, Chris Olave is back and now has Derek Carr throwing him the football. That's an improvement already, so Olave still has room to grow and he starts this season off against a Titans team that is questionable in the backend of the defense. Olave could have plenty of opportunity downfield on Sunday. Olave is a strong WR2 this week.
