CAR WR Brenton Bersin - Week 11, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 – Brenton Bersin vs. Atlanta
Brenton Bersin is earning increased playing time by bringing down passes late in blowout games, and he had another two receptions and 24 yards against the Eagles on Monday night. He should continue to get sub package looks, but his upside is limited as a guy fighting for the WR3 spot on the depth chart for a struggling offense. Keep him on waivers.

CAR WR Brenton Bersin - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 – Brenton Bersin vs. Philadelphia
Brenton Bersin didn’t catch a pass last week against the Saints as the Panthers struggled heavily. Unfortunately for Bersin, a fair amount of his production has come in garbage time this year, and there’s no reason to expect that to happen each week, even with how bad the Panthers have looked at times. Bersin seems to have a hold on the WR4 job, but that’s not likely to yield enough fantasy value to warrant a roster add.

CAR WR Brenton Bersin - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 – Brenton Bersin vs. New Orleans
Brenton Bersin didn’t catch a pass last week against the Seahawks and has gotten most of his work this season in garbage time, particularly with Derek Anderson throwing the ball. He has a chance to see the field against the Saints Thursday night if the Panthers get blown out, but banking on that isn’t a good idea for fantasy owners. Bersin should remain on waivers.

CAR WR Brenton Bersin - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 – Brenton Bersin vs. Seattle
Brenton Bersin has gotten some garbage time looks lately, and he ended up with three catches, 21 yards, and a late touchdown pass from backup quarterback Derek Anderson against the Packers last week. The Packers blew out the Panthers, prompting the team to put the backups in. While Bersin may start to challenge Jason Avant and Philly Brown for looks, it’s unlikely to result in any consistent fantasy production, and he’s not yet worth a fantasy roster add.

CAR WR Brenton Bersin - Week 4, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 – Brenton Bersin vs. Baltimore
Brenton Bersin has moved up to fourth on the depth chart with Jerricho Cotchery hurt, and he caught the only ball thrown at him last week against Pittsburgh, gaining 29 yards. He’s still not worth picking up for fantasy owners however, sitting behind three other guys on the depth chart. If he continues to climb up, he’ll be fantasy relevant, but that’s hard to imagine at this point.
