The Philadelphia Eagles are getting some bodies back on the practice field.

Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin and cornerback Asante Samuel returned to action Saturday afternoon at Lehigh.

When Maclin went down at the end of Wednesday's practice, it seemed unlikely he would be back this soon. Maclin was originally diagnosed with a hyperextended left knee, and the injury was later labeled a bone bruise. He was not limited during the first part of practice and was not wearing a sleeve or brace on his knee.

Samuel had been sitting out with a hamstring injury since Sunday. Like Maclin, he did not appear to be limited through the first portion of the afternoon practice.

The Eagles got a scare with injuries to Maclin and DeSean Jackson, but fortunately for Philadelphia, neither were serious. Maclin could be a useful fantasy player in 2010, but his ADP right now is a little higher than it should be. He will have some productive games, but with a new quarterback taking over and the presence of Jackson and tight end Brent Celek, Maclin's breakout is probably more likely to take place in 2011. That will be his third season in the NFL, and we all know about what often happens with wide receivers in their third year.
