TEN RB Bishop Sankey - Week 3, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Bishop Sankey Week 3 vs. Bengals
Drafted reasonably high in many leagues, Sankey has been MIA, getting just eight carries this season, including two for three yards last week. The Titans don't seem to be in a hurry to get the rookie into their lineup and neither should you at this point.

TEN RB Bishop Sankey - Week 2, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Bishop Sankey Week 2 vs Dallas
Bishop Sankey continues to play second fiddle to Shonn Greene and could even be considered the third rushing option behind Dexter McCluster as well. He managed just six carries for 25 yards last week in mop-up duty. Unless something drastic happens, that will continue for the time being. Keep Sankey on your bench. We expect him to get more run as the season wears on.

TEN RB Bishop Sankey - Week 1, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Bishop Week 1 vs Chiefs
Sankey is going to get some of the carries this week against the Chiefs, but how many? He's going to open up as No. 2 behind Shonn Greene, but Sankey will get some carries and receptions. Eventually, he's going to be the starter, and Kansas City's run defense isn't strong, but he won't be worth using as anything more than a flex with some upside this week.

TEN RB Sankey Bishop - 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Bishop Sankey’s a multi-talented running back who catches the ball well out of the backfield. He was also brought in by new head coach Whisenhunt, who isn’t afraid to let the offense flow through his running backs.

Fantasy Downside
The rookie hasn’t torn it up in the preseason. He hasn’t been bad, mind you, but he also hasn’t been head and shoulders above veteran Shonn Greene, either. He could wind up as part of a committee approach.

Bottom Line
Sankey has a nose for the end zone, as his 20 touchdowns last season would suggest. But Greene is a bigger back, so he could wind up in that role. This is looking more like a 50-50 split between Sankey and Greene to start the season, which makes Sankey’s ADP of 48th overall, a little high. Remember, Whisenthunt was in charge of the San Diego running back committee last season. But Sankey will probably be the most valuable Tennessee running back and could gain value as the season wears on.
