Playoff DFS in the NFL is a totally different animal than the large slates of the regular season. Think of it as a multiple choice test versus an essay test in college. Let's assume you were the kind of person who in certain classes only showed up for exams. College is all about figuring out what classes were necessary to attend and what classes you could just get by with minimal effort, am I right?
In classes where the majority of your tests were essay-based, you actually have to know what you’re talking about to produce a sufficient answer (regular-season lineup) in most cases. In contrast, classes that offer multiple choice tests present a limited number of wrong answers (post-season lineup). The average person who barely studies can in theory still do okay on a multiple choice test in a format where there are limited wrong answers available.
DFS post-season is a multiple choice test. The guy that barely shows up can still do okay and even guess their way to the correct answer more often than they would be able to on an essay test.
