FanDuel Week 1 Cash Game Breakdown

With the impending launch of our brand-new DFS subscription, which I’m very excited about, the FanDuel article will be broken into two: a cash game breakdown (part of the premium subscription) and a tournament breakdown (part of the DFS package).

Editor's Note: 4for4 has an ALL-NEW DFS SUBSCRIPTION! It includes our revolutionary Lineup Generator, Stack Value Reports, Ceiling & Floor Projections, GPP-Specific Articles, Ownership Outlooks, DFS Theory Articles, Lineup Construction Articles, a Downloadable .csv with Projections and Salary Data, and much more! DETAILS HERE! (Previous subs don't worry, you'll still get this article and the DraftKings article with your premium subscription, just like last year. But we think you'll want to UPGRADE to our DFS subscription because it takes our DFS content to the next level!)

Cash games are all about choosing the safest, high-floor options at each position, so I’ll only blurb players I think should be considered for these type of contests; none of that “this guy is probably more of a GPP play” stuff. If I’m considering one QB or one D/ST in my cash game lineups (as is the case this week), I’ll only blurb one. If I think there are multiple options to consider, I’ll blurb them all. But if you’re looking for my analysis on a larger portion of the player pool, you’ll find that in my tournament column coming out Friday. I tend to usually play only one or two cash game lineups on FanDuel (and many, many tournament lineups), depending on how many safe options I deem there are and how closely ranked I think they are. So without further ado, let’s get to gettin’ this money.

QB Sam Bradford @ ATL $7,500

Bradford has never been a fantasy asset, but neither were Nick Foles or Mark Sanchez before they played in Chip Kelly’s offense. Foles and Sanchez combined to increase their touchdown rate by 62 percent (!), their yards per attempt by 23 percent, and their completion percentage by 13 percent under Kelly. The Eagles’ Vegas team total of 29 is Sunday’s highest, and very impressive given that they’re on the road, where teams generally take a 3-point hit. Bradford ranks first in our floor value rankings and fourth in our FanDuel Value Reports. He’s the only QB I want in cash games; I don’t see a reason to pay up into the $8,000’s or $9,000’s when you can get Bradford’s high floor/high ceiling combination for $7,500.
