10 for 10 with Ian: Week 9 Top Plays on FantasyAces - Freak Edition

This is the week of the freak. No, I’m not a week late on what could have been an questionable awesome Halloween themed article, I’m talking about the freaks on the gridiron.

It takes a lot to be called a freak in a good way. Not many words (that I know of, at least) are so overwhelmingly negative in one context, but also so overwhelmingly positive in another. Seeing as how my goal here is to make you money in fantasy football, for the purposes of this article we are only going to worry about the good kinds of freaks in the NFL.

The good kind of NFL freak is irregularly good at doing what his position requires, but more than anything, a good kind of NFL freak has two or three plays a game that make you think the freak is playing with a bunch of high schoolers. For reference, we’ll honor one of the biggest freaks in the NFL who recently tore his MCL and will unfortunately miss the remainder of the season: LeVeon Bell (freak rating 10/10). Wait, is that a bird? A plane? No, it’s some unworldly combination of the two, or in one word: a freak.

QB Tom Brady $7,600 vs. Washington. Freak Rating: 10/10

Tom Brady has played this entire season with both of his middle fingers up in the air at the rest of the NFL. You don’t need me to tell you that Brady facing the seventh-worst defense in terms of yards per attempt is a reason to play him. Nor is the fact that Brady currently has a 20:1 TD/INT ratio, and has thrown for 275 yards or more in every game this year. What you need me to tell you is that Brady is projected to score almost five fantasy points more than our second-ranked quarterback for this week, which for reference is the same as comparing Aaron Rodgers to Matt Cassel.
