CHI WR Taylor Gabriel - Week 18 Fantasy Football Outlook

Wild Card Playoffs vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Taylor Gabriel had a few strong games in 2018, and led the Bears in receiving during Week 17 with Allen Robinson inactive (4 receptions, 61 yards). But Gabriel averaged just 43 yards per game, and only scored in one contest all year. His value could increase if this game ends up as a high-scoring affair, but for now you can likely expect somewhere between 30-40 yards and no touchdowns for Gabriel.

CHI WR Taylor Gabriel - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Minnesota Vikings

With Allen Robinson out of the lineup, Taylor Gabriel becomes the team's most recognizable receiving option. But Gabriel hasn't done much of anything in recent weeks, and wasn't too effective earlier in the season when Robinson was out. He also gets a tough matchup against the Vikings, although he did go 7-52 against them earlier in the year. Still, based on what we've seen in recent weeks, Gabriel is a risky option in Week 17.

CHI WR Taylor Gabriel - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at San Francisco 49ers

Taylor Gabriel caught all three targets for 33 yards last week. At one point in the season, Gabriel almost looked like a better option than Allen Robinson. But he's not being used much anymore, recording three receptions in each of his last three outings. He's also scored in just one game all season, making him a weak red zone threat. He does have a great matchup this week, but he's not much more than a low-end WR3.

CHI WR Taylor Gabriel - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Green Bay Packers

Taylor Gabriel saw seven targets last week, but finished with just three catches for 22 yards. Gabriel has only scored in one game all season and has only finished above 50 yards in two of his last eight games.

He carries little value as a WR4 this week against the Packers in a favorable matchup. Gabriel is best in fantasy when he's used as a PPR threat, catching multiple little passes that add up over time.

CHI WR Taylor Gabriel - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Los Angeles Rams

After back-to-back seven-reception games, Taylor Gabriel only caught three passes for 17 yards last week. He's had some value as a catch-heavy receiver this season, and even had two 100-yard games earlier, but he hasn't been great recently. Since those two 100-yard games, Gabriel is averaging 34 yards with no scores. He holds little value in fantasy this week against the Rams.

CHI WR Taylor Gabriel - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Taylor Gabriel at New York Giants

Taylor Gabriel worked well with Chase Daniel last week, catching seven of his eight targets for 49 yards. He now has two straight games with seven receptions and six games this season with at least five catches. Clearly, he carries more value in PPR formats, but sometimes he's able to break off a big play with one of those catches.

He does get a tough matchup against the Giants this week, however. He should be viewed as a WR3 in PPR formats whose main source of production will come off of receptions. He carries fairly limited upside.

CHI WR Taylor Gabriel - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Detroit Lions

Taylor Gabriel led the Bears in targets (9), receptions (7) and receiving yards (52) last week. It was a nice bounce back game after he had a goose egg vs. Detroit the week before. Gabriel has had some nice games this season, but he's been pretty inconsistent with his production. He isn't much more than a WR4 choice.

CHI WR Taylor Gabriel - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Detroit Lions

Taylor Gabriel finished with three receptions for 45 yards on five targets last week. He put together a string of two 100-yard efforts earlier in the year, but hasn't done much since then. He actually played better with Allen Robinson in the lineup, so perhaps his return this week can bring a spark to Gabriel.

He gets a somewhat unfavorable matchup against the Lions this week, making him not much more than a low-end WR3 option.

CHI WR Taylor Gabriel - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Buffalo Bills

Taylor Gabriel led all Bears receivers in receptions (4) and receiving yards (52) last week while Allen Robinson sat out. It wasn't a great performance but it was his third game of at least 50 yards in his last four outings. Robinson is hurt again, but so is Gabriel, who was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday (knee).

Assuming Gabriel is healthy enough to play, he'll draw a tough matchup against the Bills this week. Buffalo is allowing the sixth-fewest fantasy points to opposing WRs this season. Gabriel can be viewed as a lower-end WR3 option in Week 9.

CHI WR Taylor Gabriel - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. New York Jets

Taylor Gabriel had one of his worst games in 2018 as he put up a season low in catches (3) and beat his season low in yards by just one (26) while seeing a season low in targets (4). It's kind of surprising considering Allen Robinson wasn't involved much, either.

For now we'll just view it as a fluke. Gabriel could be in for a better game this week as it looks like Robinson might not play. He gets a favorable matchup against the Jets, who have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing wideouts. For now he can be viewed as a WR3.
