CHI RB Tarik Cohen - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Minnesota Vikings

Tarik Cohen has only had more than 10 offensive touches in a game twice since Week 6. He's made a few big plays sparingly in those weeks, but he isn't consistent enough to be reliable in fantasy. The rookie is too risky for fantasy purposes.

CHI RB Tarik Cohen - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Cleveland Browns

Tarik Cohen balled out in Week 14 when he got touches, but then Chicago decided it didn't want him to do that again, and Cohen only finished with 6 touches in Week 15 (2 rushes, 4 receptions). Cohen has made some big plays this season, but he doesn't get the ball that much anymore, and therefore is a poor choice in fantasy.

CHI RB Tarik Cohen - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Detroit Lions

Tarik Cohen actually had a solid game last week, finishing with 80 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. He also added 5 yards on 2 catches. This was a career-high in rushing yards for Cohen, so fantasy owners should be skeptical of the performance.

He gets a favorable matchup against the Lions in Week 15, a team he played well against just a few weeks ago (59 yards, TD). Cohen is a dangerous player to start, though, because he's been unusable in most of his recent games. He's an RB3 at best this week.

CHI RB Tarik Cohen - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Cincinnati Bengals

Tarik Cohen was used a bit more than usual last week, catching 4 passes and rushing twice. He didn't produce much, however, finishing with 44 total scrimmage yards. Anyone following Cohen knows his production has dropped a bunch since the start of the year, and it's mainly because he's not getting the ball enough.

He could have a similar performance as last week as he gets a favorable matchup against the Bengals in Week 14. Cincinnati is tied for allowing the fourth-most receptions to backs this season, which could help Cohen since that's what he's best at. But considering his recent production, he's way too risky to trust at this point in the season—he's not much more than a desperate RB4.

CHI RB Tarik Cohen - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. San Francisco 49ers

Tarik Cohen's day was pretty awful last week as he managed to finish with negative-11 rushing yards. He also added 8 receiving yards on 2 catches. Cohen saw a brief increase in usage in Week 11, but he's been pretty ineffective since Mitch Trubisky took over.

He could have a better game this week in a favorable matchup against the 49ers. San Francisco is allowing the most points to opposing backs, but the concern with Cohen is he's not getting enough touches. He's only had more than 10 touches twice since Week 3, making him a hard option to trust in fantasy. He's not much more than a risky, low-end flex play.

CHI RB Tarik Cohen - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Philadelphia Eagles

Tarik Cohen saw his most action last week since Week 6. He finished with 13 touches, which was more than his last three games combined, compiling 59 total yards and a touchdown. Not an awful game, but it's an outlier considering his recent production.

Cohen is hard to trust as a fantasy option moving forward until we see him consistently get touches. He's definitely a tough play this week in an unfavorable matchup against the Eagles. He's not much more than a desperate flex play at this point.

CHI RB Tarik Cohen - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Detroit Lions

Tarik Cohen continues to be left out in the cold. As we've mentioned before, Cohen got off to a hot start this season, but his role continues to be a non-factor in recent weeks. Last week, he finished with 2 touches for 11 yards. He's had just 1 catch in each of his last five games, and just 5 carries in his last three games.

Cohen gets a decent matchup this week against the Lions, but since he's hardly getting the ball, he doesn't have much appeal in fantasy. Cohen is a talented player, but if the touches aren't there, then it's time to look elsewhere.

CHI RB Tarik Cohen - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs Green Bay Packers

Tarik Cohen started the season with a bang, but has seen a much more diminished role in recent weeks. In his last two games, he's seen just 6 total offensive touches. In the first two games of the season, Cohen had 16 total receptions, but he's been held to just 1 catch for four games in a row now.

Most of Cohen's early success this season came from the fact he was able to make plays in the passing game. But with the Bears passing less, Cohen isn't as active. Due to this, he should be viewed as nothing more than a low-end flex play.

CHI RB Tarik Cohen - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at New Orleans Saints

Tarik Cohen made a highlight play last week, hauling in a deep 70-yard pass. And that was all he did. He didn't have a single carry, and didn't catch his 2 other targets in the game. Cohen has shown he's a talented player this season, but his touches have been all over the place, and they've mostly dropped since Mitch Trubisky took over.

Cohen could have a larger role this week as a pass-catcher against the Saints. If the game script forces Chicago to throw more, expect Cohen to be more involved. But considering his production in recent weeks, he becomes a risky play. He's a low-end flex play, at best.

CHI RB Tarik Cohen - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Carolina Panthers

Tarik Cohen was heavily involved on the ground last week, carrying the ball 14 times. But he wasn't very effective, only finishing with 32 yards (2.3 yards per carry). He wasn't a factor as a receiver, either, catching just 1 pass for 14 yards on 3 targets.

With the Bears having more of an emphasis on the run, it's actually Cohen's production. His big plays used to come off of passes, but now that's been taken away and he's struggled as a rusher, averaging 2.25 yards per carry in his last two games. With a tough matchup this week against the Panthers, Cohen is nothing more than a low-end RB3 play.
