Week 15 vs. Indianapolis
Sam Bradford has had just one multi-touchdown game over his last eight starts. In fact, on the season, Bradford has 14 touchdowns in 12 starts (which as you can figure out, is just over a touchdown a game). Fantasy quarterbacks need more production than that, and that's why Bradford isn't a great option.
He does get a good matchup this week against the Colts, but your fantasy quarterback should be someone who is likely to go off for multiple touchdowns and get near 300 yards passing. Bradford is not that guy, and that's why he's a poor option at this position in Week 15.
Week 14 vs. Jacksonville
Sam Bradford has 13 touchdowns in 11 games, which, as you can probably figure out is just over a touchdown a game. He has just three multi-touchdown games this season, including only one in his last seven games.
So not only is Bradford a poor option to begin with, but he's also got a difficult matchup this week against Jacksonville. The Jaguars have held opposing quarterbacks under 200 yards in four of the last five games.
Combining everything together, Bradford is one of the poorer choices at quarterback this week.
Week 13 vs. Dallas
Sam Bradford had a great matchup last week against the Lions, but finished the game with just 224 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. He wasn't even that bad, completing 31-of-37 passes, but the offense limits his fantasy production.
Bradford will get a good matchup again this week, as he faces a Cowboys defense that has allowed 400+ passing yards in two of the last three games. But again, that doesn't necessarily mean he'll have a big day.
Bradford isn't a terrible option, but there are a lot of better choices at quarterback this week.
Week 12 vs. Detroit
Sam Bradford didn't have a great game last week, throwing for just 169 yards with one touchdown. But the team didn't really need a huge game from him with two scores on defense/special teams.
They may have to rely on him in Week 12, however, as Minnesota faces the Lions. Detroit has allowed the second-most points to opposing quarterbacks this season, so it's possible Bradford finds success. In Week 9 when he last played them, he had 273 yards and a touchdown.
Bradford certainly has a great matchup this week, but he's a hard quarterback to trust when it comes to big fantasy performances. He's not a bad play, but there are certainly better options out there this week.
Week 11 vs. Arizona
Sam Bradford went over 300 yards and had two touchdowns last week in an impressive effort. The team had to abandon its running game as it was extremely ineffective, and instead rely on Bradford who delivered with a good game.
However, we don't expect that trend to continue this week. Mostly due to the poor matchup against the Cardinals. Arizona's been brutal against quarterbacks, allowing just one multi-touchdown effort. In fact, the Cards have only allowed one passing touchdown in their last four games combined.
Bradford has been relevant for a few games this season, but this week won't likely be one.
Week 10 vs. Washington
Sam Bradford hasn't eclipsed 300 yards this season, and has now thrown just one touchdown pass in five of his last six games. This is obviously not great for fantasy football production, and it means Bradford is at the lower tier of quarterbacks.
That's especially true this week against the Redskins, as Washington has been fairly stingy against opposing QBs. Their defense has allowed one touchdown or less in every game since Week 1.
Week 9 vs. Detroit
Through six games, Sam Bradford has eight touchdowns and just one interception. He's been solid all season long, and draws a favorable matchup against the Lions this week, making him an interesting option in Week 9.
The Lions have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season, but Minnesota's offense isn't known for being explosive. They'd much rather control the clock and manage the game than light up the scoreboard.
Still, Bradford can easily put up 250+ yards and two touchdowns, making him a solid option on a week with so many other top QBs on bye. He's a QB1 play, and a great bye-week filler.
Week 8 vs. Chicago
After taking care of the ball all season long, Sam Bradford forgot how to play football last week and committed three turnovers (one interception, two fumbles). He did have a difficult matchup, so the struggles were somewhat understandable.
He'll look to bounce back this week against the Bears, which is a better matchup. It's important to remember that Bradford has no games over 300 yards this season, so don't expect elite QB1 numbers from him.
Bradford should be just an average play this week.
Week 7 vs. San Diego
Sam Bradford will return to face the team that traded him away this week. Is Revenge Factor a thing? Probably not, but it's fun to act like it is. Anyway, Bradford has been solid this season, tossing six touchdowns and no interceptions in four games. He hasn't hit the 300-yard milestone, though.
Looking at his Week 7 matchup, there's not a lot of reason to be optimistic. He gets a brutal matchup against the Eagles, and we expect Minnesota to run the ball at a higher rate.
Bradford will be a viable option most weeks, but this isn't one of those weeks. It's best to avoid him against Philly.
Week 5 vs. Houston
Sam Bradford has been playing surprisingly well this season, although it hasn't translated into a ton of fantasy points. We expect that trend to continue in Week 5 against a tough Texans defense that's only allowed one passing touchdown all season.
In addition, the Texans haven't allowed many yards this season. The fewest, in fact, at 163 yards per game.
Considering Bradford isn't known for lighting up the scoreboard, and it's a brutal matchup. We're putting the Vikings' QB at the end of the list for quarterback options in Week 5.
