WAS RB Rob Kelley - Week 17, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. New York Giants
Rob Kelley rushed 19 times for 76 yards last week. After scoring a TD in his last two games, Kelley failed to score last week. But his 76 yards was the most he's totaled since Week 11 against Green Bay.

Kelley suffered a knee injury and was limited in the second half of last week's game. He is considered day-to-day, but didn't suffer any structural damage according to the MRI. He's a bit of a question mark, but is expected to play in what is a must-win against the Giants to make the playoffs. The bad news is the Giants are fourth in allowing fantasy points to RBs, but the G-men have nothing to play for in Week 17. Kelley comes in 14th on our list, making him a very solid RB2 option.

WAS RB Rob Kelley - Week 16, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

It was a tough go running the ball last week for Rob Kelley. He carried nine times for 8 yards but fortunately for owners added a TD. He caught four balls for 47 yards, his best output of the season in the passing game.

Kelley has tailed off a bit since a monster three-TD performance in Week 11 against the Packers. Once again, this looks like a matchup the Skins will want to at least try to get the run game going. The Bears are 16th in allowing fantasy points to RBs and are statistically much better against the pass. Kelley comes in ranked as a higher-end RB2 this week at 15th. He hasn't really produced those kinds of numbers which makes him a risky play, but his workload is pretty safe so he should always be in consideration as a starter for your lineup.

WAS RB Rob Kelley - Week 15, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Carolina
Rob Kelley ran 14 times for 63 yards last week and added a TD in a win over Philly. Kelley also caught two balls for 25 yards. It was a far cry from the 230 yards rushing the Skins put on the Birds the first time the teams met, but it was still an effective fantasy day for owners thanks to the TD. Chris Thompson also added a TD in the game.

Kelley is only averaging about 15 carries a game over the last three, as opposed to about 22 over the first three games he started after taking over for Matt Jones. This week, it's a tough matchup against Carolina, who is fourth in allowing fantasy points to RBs. Kelley comes in 18th on our list of running backs, as a middle of the road RB2 option. He should continue to get the workload, but it may be a tough game in terms of racking up yards.

WAS RB Rob Kelley - Week 14, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Philadelphia
After three pretty impressive performances, Rob Kelley has hit a bit of a wall the last couple of weeks. Last week against the Cards, he carried 14 times for 63 yards, but the Skins had to play from behind in this one and didn't get to utilize Kelley as much as they would have liked. The team said it would like to see more from Kelley going forward.

They may get just that this week against the Eagles, who are 18th in allowing fantasy points to RBs. When the teams met earlier this season, Washington racked up 230 yards on the ground led by Matt Jones' 135. But Kelley carried five times for 59 yards as well in that contest, so there is certainly potential for Kelley to have a nice fantasy game. He comes in 17th on our list this week, making him a solid RB2 play.

WAS RB Rob Kelley - Week 13, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Washington
Rob Kelley carried 14 times for just 37 yards last week. It's been a far cry from the fantasy numbers he put up the previous two weeks. It was a pretty touch matchup coming in and Kelley was down our list as a result.

This week, it's a bit of the same story as Kelley falls just 23rd on our RB list against the Cardinals. Arizona is fourth in allowing fantasy points to RBs, so Kelley is a very low-end RB2 option. As long as this game stays close, Kelley should at least be safe in terms of a workload, but given the matchup, owners may want to temper expectations.

WAS RB Rob Kelley - Week 12, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Dallas
Rob Kelley had a monster game in Week 11 last week against Green Bay, running for 137 yards and three TDs on 24 carries. Kelley has been a big boost to the Redskins offense giving them a running threat they seemingly haven't had in a few years.

Since Kelley has taken over for Matt Jones, he's averaging about 22 carries a game over the last three games as well as an average of 107 yards in that same span. It also includes a total of four TDs, three of which came last week. This week, Kelley gets the Cowboys on Thanksgiving who are 11th in allowing fantasy points to RBs. While it's not a great matchup, and Kelley is just 21st on our RB list this week, Kelley certainly seems like a solid volume play based on this carries the last three games. Treat him as a low-end RB2.

WAS RB Rob Kelley - Week 11, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Green Bay
Rob Kelley had another nice game in his second start since taking over for Matt Jones, and it looks like Kelley is safely entrenched as the team's RB1 going forward. Kelley ran 22 times for 97 yards against a pretty good Vikings defense. The week before the bye, Kelley carried 21 times for 87 yards and a TD. The team seems to love Kelley's run style and so far he hasn't fumbled which gives him a huge advantage over Jones.

This week, Kelley gets the Packers who are eighth against the run, but last week gave up over 100 yards to the Titans DeMarco Murray. This could end up being a high scoring game for both teams which means Kelley should be involved. But, Kelley falls at 18th on our RB list this week, which is a lower-end RB2. Kelley should be a solid play just based on his volume of work which looks pretty secure.

WAS RB Rob Kelley - Week 10, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Minnesota
Rob Kelley took over as the team's RB1 when we last saw him in action in Week 8. He ran 21 times for 87 yards and a TD with Matt Jones.

Jones' status is in question for this week which mean Kelley should once again be in line for a big workload. It's an average matchup against the Vikings who have seen their rank fall a bit when defending RBs. Minny is 16th in allowing fantasy points to RBs so Kelley has some value as long as Jones is out. As we said before, if Jones plays, this running game just hasn't been good enough to support playing either back in a split situation. So continue to monitor this situation. Kelly is ranked 24th with puts him as a lower-end RB2.
