TEN WR Rishard Matthews - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Indianapolis Colts

Rishard Matthews had a productive day last week, catching 5 passes for 113 yards and a score—a 75-yard bomb to open the second half. He has now scored in two of the past three games and remains Marcus Mariota's top target. He had 4 receptions for 69 yards in Week 6 against the Colts and should be a solid WR2/WR3 option this week.

Week 11 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Rishard Matthews had 5 catches for 50 yards last week, his fifth game this season with more than 3 receptions. That means he's had four games with three, though he hasn't gone below that number. He also has just 2 TD catches this season and the Steelers have given up one WR score in three home games this season. Matthews is a WR3 play this week.

TEN WR Rishard Matthews - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Rishard Matthews continues to plug along, catching 4 passes for 70 yards and his second touchdown of the season last week. The other receivers in the lineup have gotten more hype, but he remains Marcus Mariota's top target. Cincinnati offers a tough matchup, but Matthews should be good to go as a WR3.

TEN WR Rishard Matthews - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Baltimore Ravens

Rishard Matthews has at least 3 receptions in every game this season. He also has put up at least 40 yards in all but one game. That places him firmly in WR3 territory, especially since he's not been scoring at the same pace he did last season. There's just too much inconsistency in the Tennessee passing game at this point.

TEN WR Rishard Matthews - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Cleveland Browns

Rishard Matthews caught all 4 of his passes for 69 yards and continues to be a factor for the Titans in the passing game—albeit one who is a WR3 play since he has just one score this season. Cleveland has allowed 7 touchdowns to opposing receivers, making Matthews perhaps an interesting option with some possible upside to be a WR2.

TEN WR Rishard Matthews - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Indianapolis

Rishard Matthews had just 3 catches for 34 yards last week and clearly misses a healthy Marcus Mariota, with whom he has a nice rapport. At this point, it doesn't appear Mariota will play again this week. Use Matthews as a high-end WR3 and hope Matt Cassel is feeling a little more frisky this week in the passing game.

TEN WR Rishard Matthews - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Miami Dolphins

Rishard Matthews caught 3 passes for 49 yards and leads the Titans in targets. He'll be lining up against his former team this week and will want to have a big game. But Marcus Mariota's status could make that difficult. The Dolphins have allowed at least 145 yards to opposing receivers in each of their games this season. Matthews should see enough action, even if Mariota doesn't play, to be useful a WR3 this week.

TEN WR Rishard Matthews - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Houston Texans

The Titans tried their best to replace Rishard Matthews as their No. 1 receiver and he just keeps producing. Last week, he had 6 catches for 87 yards, including a 55-yard touchdown. He had two big games against Houston last season, catching 11 passes for 196 yards and a touchdown on 15 targets. Matthews, who has nice chemistry with Marcus Mariota, should produce enough this week to use as a WR3 or a low-end WR2.

TEN WR Rishard Matthews - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Seattle Seahawks

Rishard Matthews caught just 3 passes last week but went for 43 yards and is averaging over 15 yards per catch thus far. That's great, especially with rookie Corey Davis out this week. But Seattle offers a tough matchup for the Tennessee passing game. The Seahawks allowed 19 receptions to Green Bay's receivers in Week 1 on the road, but Aaron Rodgers isn't stepping into the stadium on Sunday in a Titans uniform. Don't expect anything more than WR3 production from Matthews this week.

TEN WR Rishard Matthews - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Jacksonville Jaguars

Rishard Matthews didn't receive 10 targets like teammate Corey Davis, but he was second on the team with 9 targets, catching 5 for 71 yards. Matthews didn't have big games last season against Jacksonville but he did score in both games. And if Davis is going to help him balance things out, he could continue to perform as a low-end No. 3 wide receiver or high-end flex play.
