ATL WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Baltimore Ravens

Mohamed Sanu caught all four of his targets for 74 yards in the Falcons’ Week 12 loss to the Saints. Sanu was targeted early but once Atlanta’s offensive line turned Matt Ryan into a human pinball, Sanu disappeared. Atlanta hosts Baltimore on Sunday and with the Ravens ranking second against fantasy receivers this year, Sanu isn’t a recommended FLEX play. He ranks as our WR51 for Week 13.

ATL WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at New Orleans Saints

Mohamed Sanu caught four-of-six targets for 56 yards in the Falcons’ Week 11 loss to the Cowboys. It was the most yardage that Sanu has produced since Week 5, but his role in Atlanta’s offense remains limited. While he did catch a touchdown against the Saints in Week 3, Sanu is nothing more than a WR4 and a touchdown-dependent start on Thursday night when the Falcons visit New Orleans. He ranks as our WR45 for Week 12.

ATL WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Dallas Cowboys

Mohamed Sanu caught six-of-eight targets for 47 yards in the Falcons’ Week 10 loss to the Browns. He also fumbled on Atlanta’s first possession after halftime, which eventually led to a Cleveland score. Sanu is still dealing with a hip injury but that hasn’t stopped him from suiting up on Sunday. Given how many mouths there are to feed in Atlanta’s offense, Sanu is not a fantasy option. Avoid him in Week 11.

ATL WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Cleveland Browns

Mohamed Sanu caught four-of-five targets for 45 yards in the Falcons’ Week 9 win over the Redskins. He continues to play through a hip injury that limits him during the practice week but the bottom line is that Sanu doesn’t offer any fantasy upside. He’s a good real-life player but there’s simply too many mouths to feed in Atlanta’s passing attack, including rookie Calvin Ridley. Ranked as our WR46 for Week 10, avoid Sanu when the Falcons travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns.

ATL WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Washington Redskins

Mohamed Sanu caught both of his targets for 21 yards in the Falcons’ Week 7 win over the Giants. He continues to deal with a hip injury that forced him to miss practice on Thursday, but he didn’t show signs of being limited against the Giants. Ranked as our WR49 for Week 9, view Sanu as a WR4 when the Falcons travel to Washington to take on the Redskins.

ATL WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. New York Giants

Mohamed Sanu caught both of his targets for 46 yards and a touchdown in the Falcons’ Week 6 win over the Bucs. He left the game early in the second half with a hip injury that also held him out of practice last week. Sanu has caught a touchdown pass in back-to-back games and now has three scores in his last four games. The one time he did score over the past four weeks he had 111 receiving yards, so Sanu has been productive, but he’s not a trustworthy starting option, especially with the hip injury. Ranked as our WR42 for Week 7, avoid playing Sanu when the Falcons host the Giants on Monday night.

ATL WR Calvin Ridley - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mohamed Sanu caught four-of-seven targets for 73 yards and a touchdown in the Falcons’ Week 5 loss to the Steelers. It was a dreadful day for Atlanta, which lost its fourth game of the season. Matt Ryan was sacked six times and lost a fumble, which was returned for a touchdown in the second half. One of the few highlights for the team was Sanu’s 43-yard touchdown in the second quarter. The Falcons only trailed 13-10 after that but the wheels fell off in the second half. Sanu will be a flex option this Sunday based on the matchup versus the Bucs, who rank 32nd in the league against fantasy receivers. He’s not a bad option if you’re desperate at receiver and currently ranks as our WR35 for Week 6.

ATL WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Mohamed Sanu had a productive game against his former team last Sunday, catching six-of-nine targets for 111 yards in the Falcons’ Week 4 loss to the Bengals. It was his first 100-yard game since 2014 (with Cincinnati) and just the third of his career. Sanu remains a better real football player than fantasy receiver and should be viewed as merely a WR4/5 for Week 5 when Atlanta visits Pittsburgh. He ranks as our WR48 for this week.

ATL WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Mohamed Sanu caught four passes for 36 yards and a touchdown on seven targets in the Falcons’ Week 3 loss to the Saints. He also caught a two-point conversation. It was a productive day for Sanu, who continues to have a role in this Atlanta passing game. With Julio Jones and dynamic rookie Calvin Ridley also seeing targets, the veteran will be relegated to WR4/WR5 status. Ranked as our No. 52 WR for Week 4, avoid Sanu when the Falcons host the Bengals on Sunday.

ATL WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. New Orleans Saints

Mohamed Sanu caught both of his targets for 19 yards in the Falcons’ Week 2 win over the Panthers. Matt Ryan’s two touchdown passes went to rookie Calvin Ridley and tight end Austin Hooper, and the quarterback had two rushing scores as well. Sanu is a good football player but doesn’t have much fantasy appeal with so many mouths to feed in Atlanta’s offense. Ranked as our No. 57 WR for Week 3, avoid Sanu in all formats.
