Week 16 at Philadelphia
It was a quiet day for the Cowboys receivers as the running backs and tight ends got most of the attention. Michael Gallup had one reception for six yards in the blowout win and was targeted only three times.
Gallup plays against the Eagles who are 27th in aFPA to wide receivers. Gallup didn't have much of an impact on the first meeting with Philly with only three receptions.
But with the favorable matchup, Gallup does carry value into Week 16. Start him as a WR3 on Sunday.
Week 15 vs Los Angeles Rams
Michael Gallup exploded last week for six catches for 109 yards. It was his fourth 100+ receiving yard game of the season and shows how he might be the No. 2 receiver, but will give you games where he puts up No. 1 numbers.
Gallup will face the Rams who are 11th in aFPA to wide receivers. He has been a good find for many fantasy owners and should continue to help in your playoffs
Start him as a low-end WR2 for Week 15 as the Rams are a good defense, but there will be opportunities for Gallup on Sunday,
Week 14 at Chicago
Michael Gallup has put up decent numbers the past couple weeks after a monster game back in Week 11. He has been very consistent in 2019 with big games and has had very few clunkers.
Gallup has a tough matchup for Week 14 against the Bears who are second in aFPA to wide receivers. The Chicago defense might have trouble with the run so that could open up the passing game a little more than usual.
Start Gallup Thursday, but only as a low-end WR3. He should have decent numbers for that ranking.
Week 13 vs Buffalo
Michael Gallup had four receptions for 55 yards last Sunday. He continues to put up decent numbers as the Dallas No. 2 receiver. Even when he doesn't have a huge game, he puts up numbers like last week which produces good value.
Gallup faces the Bills who are ninth in aFPA to wide receivers. The tough matchup pushes Gallup toward the bench for Week 13. He would be only good as a low-end WR3 if you had to play him.
Week 12 vs New England
Michael Gallup has been targeted 23 times over the past two games and last week it paid off with a season-high nine receptions for 148 yards. The only negative was zero touchdowns. Gallup is capable of big games like this, especially when teams are keying on Amari Cooper.
That could be the case this week against New England, but the Patriots pretty much stop all receivers as they are ranked No. 1 in aFPA to wide receivers.
Gallup deserves a start in Week 12 but because of the tough matchup, only as a WR3 or flex.
Week 11 at Detroit
Michael Gallup had a strong performance last Sunday, scoring a touchdown for the second straight game and ending the evening with 76 receiving yards. Gallup is capable of good fantasy numbers even when the Cowboys No. 1 receiver Amari Cooper is putting up big numbers which was the case last week.
That's one reason Gallup is a good play every week including Week 11 against the Lions. Detroit is 23rd in aFPA to wide receivers this season. We expect a solid game from him as he ranks a low-end WR2. Dallas will run the football with more success this week so the close to 400 passing yards won't happen.
Week 10 vs Minnesota
Michael Gallup has only nine receptions over the past three games but he is still getting targeted more than anyone except Amari Cooper. Gallup is capable of making big plays at any time and having a breakout game at any time.
We like the matchup against Minnesota for the Cowboys, The Vikings are ranked 20th in aFPA to wide receivers. The play the run well so Dallas won't be afraid to turn to the passing game.
Start Gallup as a solid WR2 for Week 10. We expect better numbers than recent weeks and for Gallup to make an impact on this game.
Week 9 at New York Giants
Michael Gallup had a great game three weeks ago with 116 receiving yards and a touchdown, but he has been average the past two games with only a combined seven catches for 82 yards. Gallup is capable of big games at any time which helps his fantasy value.
In the first meeting this season with New York, Gallup went off with seven catches for 158 yards. The breakthrough game came against a defense that is 26th in aFPA to wide receivers. Gallup might not put up the same numbers this week that he did in Week 1, but he is a good play for Week 9. Start Gallup as a low-end WR2 against the Giants.
Week 7 vs Philadelphia
With Amari Cooper out, Michael Gallup takes over as the Cowboys No. 1 receiver for now. Gallup had a 113-yard receiving day two weeks ago, but was held to 48 yards last week. Overall, he has been an impact fantasy receiver.
The Cowboys face the Eagles are who are dead last in aFPA to wide receivers. This could mean a big day for the Dallas receiving corp and that puts Gallup right on the top of QB Dak Prescott's options.
Start Gallup as a high-end WR2 for Week 7. We expect him to be Prescott's favorite with double-digit targets.
Week 6 at New York Jets
Michael Gallup returned from injury and made a splash with seven receptions for 113 yards and a touchdown. Those numbers were inflated because Dallas was playing catch-up all night. But it was a nice reward for anyone who played Gallup against the Packers.
The Cowboys have a great matchup this week against the Jets who are 24th in aFPA to wide receivers. Gallup will be a big part of the offense each week so his fantasy value is legit. Start him Week 6 as a WR3 or flex against New York.
