DET WR Josh Reynolds - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Falcons

Josh Reynolds has quietly been rock-solid since joining the Lions, catching 16-of-26 targets for 259 yards and two touchdowns in five games. It makes you wonder how the Titans couldn't find any use for him given their injury issues at wide receiver. Reynolds is more volatile than St. Brown given the lower target share, but he's on the WR4 radar in this spot, as long as Goff can play.

DET WR Josh Reynolds - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Vikings

Josh Reynolds is the only viable dart-throw among these wideouts, as he has established rapport with Jared Goff dating back to their time with the Rams. Reynolds caught 3-of-5 targets for 70 yards last week, including a 39-yard touchdown. The Vikings rank 31st in Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points per Game to wide receivers, so Reynolds is definitely in play in deeper formats.

Week 17 vs Arizona

Reynolds led the team in receiving last week against the Seattle Seahawks as he caught 6-of-10 targets for 65 yards. With Cooper Kupp to miss the week’s game as he was placed in the COVID/reserved list, Reynolds will step into the No.2 receiver role, however it comes on a week with John Wolford will be starting for the injured Jared Goff. Reynolds cannot be trusted as anything more than a low-end WR3 this week.

Week 13 at Arizona

Reynolds saw six targets last week against the Niners which he turned into five receptions for 40 yards. He was second behind Robert Woods in receiving in a game that didn't feature Cooper Kupp. Reynolds has flashed some impressive ability and has been productive when called upon. However, he won’t be anything more than a low-end WR3 this week against the Cardinals.

LAR WR Josh Reynolds - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Tampa Bay

Reynolds had his best game of the season last week against Seattle, as he saw 10 targets which he turned into eight receptions for 94 yards. Reynolds led the team in receiving last week as his usage has been increased in each of the last four games. With the Rams looking to spread the ball around, especially in games where they’re trailing, Reynolds has been a great beneficiary acting as the lone deep-threat on this team. With so much target competition in Los Angeles, keep Reynolds on deck as a low-end WR3.

LAR WR Josh Reynolds - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs Seattle

Reynolds has seen an uptick in targets prior to the bye week as he’s seen targets of eight and nine respectively with an average stat line of 4-45-0.5 in that two-game span. Reynolds has proven to be productive in an expanded role, so with a juicy matchup against Seattle in Week 10, Reynolds can be viewed as WR3 in this one.

LAR WR Josh Reynolds - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs Arizona Cardinals
Josh Reynolds enters Week 17 as the overall fantasy WR91, with 21 receptions for 326 yards and a touchdown on 42 total targets. Three years into his career, Reynolds has yet to break out as a fantasy asset despite showing flashes of his potential when injuries have presented him with increased opportunity. Reynolds might see an increased snap share this week as it's likely that the Rams will limit the snaps of their starters, and the last time Reynolds saw a snap share over 80% against a team with a high aFPA to wide receivers, he finished as the WR17 for the week. Last season, Reynolds saved his best for last, putting up a WR8 performance with a 96% snap share. At $3,200 on DraftKings and $4,900 on FanDuel, Reynolds should be a value play in tournaments.

LAR WR Josh Reynolds - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs Baltimore Ravens
With Brandin Cooks expected to return for this Week 12 matchup against the Ravens, Josh Reynolds' value hinges on Robert Woods' availability. If Woods does play, Reynolds isn't startable even in the deepest of leagues. If Woods misses another game, Reynolds offers potential fantasy WR4 value alongside Cooper Kupp and Brandin Cooks.

LAR WR Josh Reynolds - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs Chicago Bears
Josh Reynolds saw snap shares of 89% and 95% in Weeks 8 and 10 in the absence of Brandin Cooks, and performed quite capably. His output made him the WR17 in Week 8 versus the Bengals, and the WR44 in a much tougher matchup with the Steelers in Week 10.

The Rams' Week 11 matchup with the Bears is enough to consider looking elsewhere for wide receiver production. Reynolds had only three receptions in each of his two recent starts, and his relatively high yardage totals are a result of a Brandon-Cooks-level 13.7-yard aDOT. The Bears' relentless pass rush is not a recipe for success for Jared Goff targeting deeper routes, and Reynolds' low target volume makes him a risky bet even as a WR4.

LAR WR Josh Reynolds - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Pittsburgh Steelers
Josh Reynolds saw by far his most significant usage of the season in Week 8 after Brandin Cooks was knocked from the game early in the first quarter with a concussion. Reynolds earned eight targets on his 89% snap share and turned them into three receptions for 74 yards and a touchdown, which were WR17 numbers for the week. Reynolds proved he could produce when presented an opportunity in 2018 when he was the WR35 over the final seven games of the season that included a WR8 finish in the Rams' final regular-season game.

Reynolds draws an exploitable matchup with the Steelers secondary in Week 10, and in a bye-riddled slate, he's a compelling player. Four of Reynolds' eight targets against the Bengals were 20-plus yards downfield, and his touchdown reception traveled 25 yards in the air. Reynolds' 17.3-yard aDOT in Week 8 was eighth-highest among all wide receivers, and if he remains Los Angeles' primary deep target this week, he certainly has boom potential. His bust potential remains in that the Steelers boast an extremely effective pass rush, and the Rams' offensive line needs to protect Jared Goff long enough for deeper routes to develop. Reynolds is a high-ceiling, low-floor WR4 or FLEX option for Week 10.
