Week 17 at Los Angeles Rams
George Kittle hauled in 3 passes for 42 yards and a touchdown last week and now has 7 catches for 94 yards in the past two weeks. Kittle is an intriguing sleeper play this week against the Rams. The 49ers want to finish strong, while the Rams are resting starters. Kittle could be valuable.
Week 9 vs. Arizona Cardinals
George Kittle had 2 receptions for 22 yards last week and has had uneven performances, just like the rest of the 49ers offense. The Cardinals have allowed 3 touchdowns to TEs in the past three games. But it's tough to count on Kittle.
Week 8 at Philadelphia Eagles
George Kittle had just 1 catch for 16 yards last week, but after watching the Washington tight ends catch 13 passes for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Eagles last week, you can bet the 49ers will make sure they target Kittle this week. He's a low-end TE1 option, especially if your starter is on a bye.
Week 7 vs. Dallas Cowboys
George Kittle had 4 catches for 46 yards last week and is working his way into being a low-end TE1 consideration in the right matchup. Dallas, however, is not that matchup. The Cowboys have given up just 1 touchdown to TEs this season. Kittle is a TE2 play this week in a difficult matchup.
Week 6 at Washington
Well, hello, George Kittle. After showing some early promise, Kittle disappeared for a few weeks. He emerged last week to catch 7 passes for 83 yards and a touchdown. He now faces a Washington defense that has given up a tight end score in each of the past two weeks. Kittle is dealing with a myriad of injuries, but it hasn't kept him from playing yet this season. He's a low-end starter this week as a tight end, especially in a week with four teams on the bye.
Week 5 at Indianapolis Colts
George Kittle had 2 receptions for a career-high 35 yards last week. He did have 5 catches in the opener, but even in a week with byes, move along, nothing to see here.
Week 4 at Arizona Cardinals
George Kittle is the leader of San Francisco's tight-end-by-committee rotation. That's not good, as he had just 1 catch for 8 yards last week. He should not be in your lineup.
Week 3 vs. L.A. Rams
Kittle was limited in practice with a hip injury and had just 2 receptions for 13 yards last week. In this offense, he's just not someone you can count on, even with so many other tight ends hurt.
Week 2 at Seattle Seahawks
George Kittle was targeted 6 times last week in his debut but caught just 5 of them for 27 yards. That's not going to get it done, and he shouldn't be in your lineup this week.
Week 1 vs. Carolina Panthers
Rookie George Kittle was the best blocking tight end in this year's draft, but he also showed good ability catching the ball in the preseason. The 49ers felt good enough about him that they traded Vance McDonald to Pittsburgh. Kittle should be on your radar, but rookie tight ends seldom put up big numbers.
