IND RB Frank Gore - Week 11, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Atlanta

Frank Gore has been consistent this season, but not explosive. He still doesn't have a 100-yard rushing game, but he's done enough to make up for that. There was some concern about his touches, but before the Colts bye last week, Gore had a season-high 28 carries against Denver.

This week Gore gets a favorable matchup against Atlanta. The Falcons have allowed 10 rushing touchdowns to backs (second highest), although have had some recent success allowing zero in their last three games. Gore figures to do more of the same this week, especially considering the positive matchup. He should be viewed as a solid RB2.

IND RB Frank Gore - Week 9, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Denver

Gore struggled last week as he tied his season high with 22 carries and finished with 70 yards. He also added three receptions for 22 yards. And he failed to find the end zone for the third consecutive game.

He gets a tough matchup this week against the Broncos. He may be relied upon more since Denver's passing attack is so lethal, but don't expect huge numbers since Gore hasn't given that to us at all this season. Gore is reliable, but he's not explosive. He won't get you top-5 running back numbers, but he also won't drop an egg. He should be viewed as a RB2 play.

IND RB Frank Gore - Week 8, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Carolina
Frank Gore is having a decent season for Indianapolis. He's averaging just under 80 total yards per game and has scored three touchdowns this season. He's not going to be a top threat, but he'll get the job done. Gore gets a good matchup this week against Carolina. The Panthers have allowed an average of 120 yards to backs in the last three games, including three touchdowns. Gore should be viewed as a low-end RB2 this week.

IND RB Frank Gore - Week 7, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Frank Gore - Week 7 vs. New Orleans
Frank Gore got off to a bit of a slow start, but he's putting together a solid season. He hasn't proven to be an elite option (still has no 100-yard rushing games), but he's at least worthy of being an every week starter. He's had at least 87 total yards in each of his last four games.

He'll face a Saints defense that has been awful against running backs this season. New Orleans has allowed the second-most rushing yards in the league and at least 100 to backs in every game but one this season.

Gore should be viewed as a high-end RB2 this week.

IND RB Frank Gore - Week 6, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. New England

Frank Gore has finally found his way in the running game as he finished with 98 yards on the ground and a touchdown in Week 5. More importantly, he had 22 carries which was a season-high for him. He didn't record a reception, though, and that trend is likely to continue.

This week, the Colts brought in veteran Ahmad Bradshaw to backup Gore. Bradshaw previously played in Indianapolis and was a monster catching passes out of the backfield. We don't view Bradshaw as a major threat, but he'll cut into Gore's production somewhat. New England hasn't been too favorable to running backs this season, so owners should view Gore as a low-end RB2.

IND RB Frank Gore - Week 5, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Houston
Frank Gore hasn’t had a great start to the season. He had a strong performance in Week 3, but outside of that game, he’s averaging just 3.5 yards per carry. His only two touchdowns of the year came in Week 3 as well. Gore’s also fumbled twice through four games, which is something else to worry about. Luckily for PPR owners, Gore stepped up in the passing game in Week 4, as he finished with five receptions for 34 yards. His five catches were more than he had through weeks 1-3 combined.

Gore gets a favorable matchup this week against Houston. The Texans could not stop Devonta Freeman last week, as he finished with 141 total yards and three touchdowns. Gore should be a strong RB2 play this week.

IND RB Frank Gore - Week 4, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Jacksonville
Frank Gore finally came around for fantasy owners in Week 3, as he finished with 86 yards and two touchdowns. He was still somewhat limited as he finished with just 15 touches, but he has no competition among running backs on the Colts roster.

This week he'll face the Jaguars, who have been tough against running backs so far this season. The Patriots had success against them in Week 3, but prior to that matchup, they had only given up 70 and 19 yards, respectively. If Gore can find the magic the Patriots running backs had then, he'll be in for a good day. Gore should be viewed as a RB1.

IND RB Frank Gore - Week 3, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Tennessee

Frank Gore saw a lot more touches in Week 2, but he didn't do much with them. The veteran back finished with 57 yards on 15 carries and four yards on one reception. He came close to scoring a touchdown, but amazingly fumbled the opportunity away. Gore is averaging 3.8 yards per carry, which means he's not too far away from Trent Richardson numbers. Perhaps the most surprising element of Gore's season is he has just three receptions for four yards. He was projected to have a larger impact in that area this season.

He'll look to get going this week against the Titans. Last season Tennessee gave up the most rushing yards to opposing backs, but this year they've been fairly stout. RBs have been averaging less than 100 rushing yards per game against them and the Titans have allowed just one touchdown through two games. Gore should be viewed as an RB2 heading into Week 3.

IND RB Frank Gore - Week 2, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. New York Jets
The Colts weren't lying when they said Frank Gore would be on a pitch count this season. The veteran back had just eight carries in Week 1 for 31 yards and added two receptions for zero yards. Meanwhile, backup Josh Robinson saw four carries.

Gore will be going against a tough Jets defense in Week 2, making things even more difficult. The Jets only allowed 46 yards on 20 carries to the Browns in Week 1. Gore should be viewed as a RB2 this week in both PPR and standard formats.

IND RB Frank Gore - Week 1, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Frank Gore - Week 1 vs. Buffalo
The 32-year-old running back has a change of scenery this season as he switches from San Francisco to Indianapolis. The veteran is almost a lock to get 1,000 rushing yards every season, and there's no reason not to expect it again in Indy's high-powered offense. Gore may end up having a strong season, but he'll open with a tough matchup against Buffalo in Week 1. The Bills have a strong run defense, so Gore may struggle to find running room. His ceiling is high enough, however, to make him a low-end RB1 or a strong RB2. It should be noted coach Chuck Pagano said Gore will be on a "pitch count" so don't expect a bunch of carries from the veteran.
