Scouting report

ARI RB Eno Benjamin - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Los Angeles Rams

Eno Benjamin had eight carries for 31 yards and three catches for 20 yards last week in a comeback victory over the Raiders. Benjamin has 18 touches, including six receptions, through his first two games and that’s quality workload after touching the ball just 40 times in the nine games he played last season. He’s too risky to start, but fantasy managers might want to consider stashing him in PPR formats. Chase Edmonds put up borderline RB2 numbers in this role over the past couple of seasons, and Benjamin seems to be filling that role.

ARI RB Eno Benjamin - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Las Vegas Raiders

Eno Benjamin had four carries and three receptions for a total of 61 yards last week against the Chiefs. While those aren’t big numbers, it was good to see him see 34% of the team’s offensive snaps and clearly take on a passing-down role in the offense. This is still James Conner’s backfield, so Benjamin has a cap on his upside, but it’s worth adding him in deep PPR formats, just in case his role expands from here. Sit him this week, however.

ARI RB Eno Benjamin - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Seattle Seahawks

Eno Benjamin had six carries for 22 yards in supplemental work against the Panthers last week. He was only targeted once all game, which is disappointing given his expected role in the offense. If he’s not catching passes, he should be viewed strictly as James Conner’s backup – a role unlikely to produce consistent fantasy numbers. Keep him on waivers in most leagues.

ARI RB Eno Benjamin - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Carolina Panthers

Eno Benjamin got some supplemental work after Chase Edmonds was injured last week, rushing for 39 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. He wasn’t used much in the passing game, but that may have had more to do with the game script than a predictor for future usage. Benjamin stands to fill in for Edmonds, who is suffering from an ankle sprain, and could be worth rostering in deep PPR formats, just in case he can pick up passing down work. Still, without a defined role, it’s hard to trust him in lineups right away. Consider him a speculative stash option for now.

ARI RB Eno Benjamin - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Miami Dolphins

Eno Benjamin has a chance to get some work with Kenyan Drake out. He’ll be behind Chase Edmonds on the depth chart, however, and since he’s largely unknown at the NFL level, it’s hard to bank on him to produce in his debut. He’s a shifty weapon though, so keep an eye on him. If you’re in deep leagues and you have a roster spot open, you may want to add him just in case the Cardinals continue a 1a and 1b approach to the position with Drake out, giving Benjamin 8-12 carries.
