UPDATE: Damien Williams has been cleared to play, which complicates things for Herbert. He'll still be involved, but he faces a brutal Bucs defense against the run, and he's shown limited ability as a receiver both in college and in the pros. Herbert still offers some low-end flex appeal, but he's not as enticing as he was when we thought Williams would be inactive.
Khalil Herbert was forced into the starting role, and looked good. He saw 19 carries, finishing with 97 yards and a touchdown on the ground. He also saw three targets, catching two passes for 15 yards. If Damien Williams is inactive again, and there's a chance he might be, then Herbert will be a solid RB3/flex play. We'd rank him higher, but he's going against the toughest run defense in the league. The Bucs have allowed a total of 254 rushing yards to running backs through six games. Tampa has actually allowed more receiving yards (312) to running backs than rushing yards, but Herbert doesn't offer much value as a receiver. But since he'd be the Bears only option with Williams out, he still has low-end RB3 appeal.
