YARDAGE LEAGUE - Only 2 pts per TD
This is the first year our league is moving to keeper. We get to keep one player (optional) per year. Cost is draft pick 1 round prior to where he was drafted. Cannot keep any 1st round picks. FA's cost a second round pick. May keep the same player for up to 3 consecutive years - each year costs an additional round. My options will be:
Gurley in the 1st
Jeffery in the 2nd
Allen in the 3rd
D. Henry in the 7th
I've heard the best general keeper strategy is to keep your best player, but I feel it will depend on my draft slot. If I get a late pick (12-team), I should probably keep Gurley. If I don't get a late pick, Henry looks enticing (assuming D. Murray will be gone), especially since he may be worth keeping for multiple years. The other option (assuming I get an early pick) is to try and trade into a late pick and keep Gurley. What do you guys think?
I agree with your strategy... if you have a top-3 pick, I'd keep Henry. If you have anything outside of that, I'd probably keep Gurley.
If you can do the trade, then I'm game for that. You might pick up an extra pick and still get to keep Gurley, which I'm down with.
