Is there any data to support or dismiss trying to match a good QB with a particular WR? My draft is coming up and I was thinking about possibly doing so. It would be a higher risk type of strategy as if they were struggling during a particular game, your screwed. But on the other hand to get 10 TD points plus the yards (combined QB & WR) for every combined TD would make for some awesome fantasy scores.

Some leagues specifically give bonuses to that, but I don't find it to be a particularly consistent strategy for the reasons you listed. I'd rather just draft the best players I want to have on my roster and if I get double-points one week, so be it. I also don't usually pick my lineup each week trying to "cancel" my opponent's points.
