2021 Travelers Championship: Round 4 Matchups

At the conclusion of Saturday's third round of the Travelers Championship, 14 players sit within three shots of co-leaders Bubba Watson and Kramer Hickok. As the wind increased early in the afternoon, scoring was stymied, and nobody was able to gain any separation on the field. Hickok reached 12-under par through 16 holes but bogeyed the last two. Jason Day, Russell Henley and Harris English each held or shared the lead at some point during the round but also faded down the stretch. Overall, scoring on Saturday was slightly over par, with the afternoon wave at +0.37, thanks in large part to gusts up to 25 miles per hour. The forecast for Sunday calls for similar windy conditions for the entire round. I will be adding an SG: Wind section to the chart for tomorrow that shows which players have performed well in past windy conditions. With the wind thrown into the mix as a substantial variable, tomorrow's round could see plenty of fluctuation with players as much as four to five shots back still having a chance. This list of players includes stars Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau, both lurking three shots back.
