Week 17 vs. Oakland
In the playoff eliminating loss at Kansas City last Sunday night, Emmanuel Sanders caught just a 26-yard pass on three targets. It was another frustrating game for the Denver offense, which has just two TDs the past three weeks. Sanders caught five passes for 47 yards in the Week 9 meeting in Oakland.
Week 16 at Kansas City
The New England defense made sure Emmanuel Sanders wasn’t going to beat them last week, as No. 10 was held to three grabs for 48 yards. While he eclipsed 1,000 yards on the season, Emmanuel has scored only twice the past 10 games. Sanders had his best game of the season four weeks ago against the Chiefs, collecting seven receptions, 162 yards and a TD. Look for a bounce-back performance on Sunday night.
Week 15 vs. New England
After the Broncos got behind last week at the Titans, they pretty much stopped running the ball and ended up throwing 52 passes. It was a good day for Emmanuel Sanders owners though, as No. 10 caught 11 balls for 100 yards and his fifth TD of the year. He has been over the century mark in two of the past three contests, and with the Denver ground game struggling, should be in your starting lineup on Sunday against a New England D that yields nearly 250 yards per game through the air.
Week 14 at Tennessee
With just 12 completions from Paxton Lynch last Sunday in Jacksonville, Emmanuel Sanders finished with three grabs for 28 yards and also had a four yard rushing attempt. The Broncos game plan was very vanilla with the rookie at QB, but Trevor Siemian should be under center versus the Titans this week. It’s a crucial time for your fantasy team, so Sanders should be considered a low WR2 option.
Week 13 at Jacksonville
The Broncos passing game came to life in the second half of last Sunday’s loss to the Chiefs, resulting in a big performance from Emmanuel Sanders. He had his best game of the season, collecting seven receptions for 162 yards and his fourth TD of ’16. Emmanuel hadn’t been over 100 yards since Week 3. He has a tough matchup this week facing the No. 3 pass defense in the Jaguars. Consider Sanders a WR2 option.
Week 12 vs. Kansas City
In the three games leading up to the bye week, Emmanuel Sanders has totaled just 169 yards. It’s not due to a lack of targets, as Emmanuel has been thrown to 30 times during that span. He has not scored since Week 4 and has just one 100-yard game on the season. Sanders is still a threat to have a big game and should be added back to your starting lineup, especially against the No. 16 pass defense.
Week 10 at New Orleans
With the Broncos offense only on the field for less than 19 minutes last week against the Raiders, the team ran just 49 offensive plays. Emmanuel Sanders nearly made a great grab on a diving attempt of a long pass in the fourth quarter, but in the loss registered five grabs for only 47 yards. Denver’s offense has been a mess for a few weeks, but it has a great chance to get things going against the No. 32 (last) defense against the pass. Sanders should be a WR2 play versus at New Orleans.
Week 9 at Oakland
With Trevor Siemian only completing 20 passes last week against the Chargers, Emmanuel Sanders finished with four grabs for 68 yards. It was the third straight week he’s caught exactly four balls, but he has not scored since Week 4. Sanders is on pace for another 1,000 yard season and has a solid matchup this week against the No. 27 pass defense.
Week 8 vs. San Diego
In the win over the Texans last Monday, Emmanuel Sanders collected four receptions for a team-leading 86 yards. He has totaled at least 80 yards in four of the past five contests, however, the Chargers limited him to only four catches for 40 yards two weeks ago. Look for the Broncos offense to be able to move the ball at home on San Diego, which should lead to a better outing from Sanders.
Week 7 vs. Houston
In what was a frustrating performance by the Denver offense last Thursday in San Diego, as Emmanuel Sanders was held to just four catches for 40 yards on a season-low six targets. Even though he completed 30 passes, Trevor Siemian was still bothered by a sore shoulder and didn’t throw deep for most of the game. Look for a bounce-back effort from Siemian and the Broncos offense at home on Monday. Go ahead and start Sanders, even though he's facing the No. 2 defense versus the pass.
