Foster: 'Feel like I've got a chance'

Arian Foster feels like he has a chance to play in Sunday's game at Atlanta after his Aug. 3 groin injury and subsequent surgery sidelined him from getting his first start of the 2015 season.

“Progression is well, I think from two months ago having it off the bone to today," Foster said of his recovery. "It feels great and so yeah, I feel like I’ve got a chance. It just depends on how it feels on Sunday.”

Heading into the Week 4 matchup against the Falcons, Foster is officially listed as questionable. The All-Pro back will be a game-time decision, Bill O’Brien said Friday. Foster says he was a "full participant" in practice this week.

Fantasy Impact:

Foster is a true game-time call for Week 4, but the good news is it's an early game so owners will have time to adjust lineups when we learn the inactives. There's a good chance if he plays the team may limit his snap count. Jonathan Grimes has been officially ruled out after not practicing all week with a knee issue. The Texans currently have just two other running backs in case Foster can’t start: Alfred Blue and Chris Polk.

Chargers to sign RB J.K. Dobbins on one-year deal

Former Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins is planning to sign with the #Chargers on a one-year deal. Electric when healthy, Dobbins — who averages 5.8 yards per carry in his career — reunites with OC Greg Roman and can hit the market again in March.

Fantasy Impact:

Dobbins has had poor injury luck in his career, but has only managed 234 total rushes since being drafted in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. This is a low-risk, high-reward move by the Chargers and might give them a runway to wait a little longer in the '24 Draft before they address the position.

Cowboys sign RB Royce Freeman

The Cowboys have signed running back Royce Freeman to a one-year deal. Freeman had 319 yards on 77 carries with 2 touchdowns last year for the Los Angeles Rams. He was 3rd round pick of Denver in '18.

Fantasy Impact:

Freeman hasn't rushed for 500 yards since 2018, his rookie season. This shouldn't have any impact on the team drafting at the position and/or bringing back Ezekiel Elliott.

The Eagles have paid another big-time, rising player. This time, WR DeVonta Smith gets a 3-year, $75M contract extension that includes $51M guaranteed.
