Scouting report

MIA K Cody Parkey - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at New York Jets

The Dolphins have a top-10 implied team total this week as they play the lowly Jets on the road. Cody Parkey has never missed from 50+ in his career. Given the matchup, we like his chances to be a top-10 kicking option in Week 3.

MIA K Cody Parkey - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Los Angeles Chargers

The Dolphins are a road underdog making their season debut cross-country against a team that has already had a week to work out some kinks and make the necessary corrections. None of that adds up to a scenario where you want to start Cody Parkey in Week 2.

MIA K Cody Parkey - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
This game has been postponed due to Hurricane Irma and will now be played Week 11. Make sure you do not have any Dolphins or Bucs in your Week 1 fantasy lineups.

PHI K Cody Parkey - 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Cody Parkely exploded on to the scene last year as a rookie, racking up all kinds of points for the Eagles in their high-powered offense. The Eagles like to move fast and run a lot of plays, and that often equals moving the ball and getting the team in field goal range. For the most part last year, Parkey took full advantage, which led to the team trusting him in those situations. He's got a strong leg too, and had 50-plus yard opportunities, something the team didn't always give to Alex Henery.

Fantasy Downside
He did miss a couple of key kicks at certain times last year at the end of the season, but would also bounce back in the same game, so he didn't seem to be affected mentally. Other than that, there isn't a lot of downside for potential Parkey owners.

Bottom Line
Parkey is one of our top kickers ranked seventh on our list. He's a nice fit in this offense as long as he keeps making kicks. With a bye in Week 8, Parkey is a guy to target, plug and play and not worry about your kicking position.

PHI K Cody Parkey - Week 17, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 - Parkey vs. NY Giants
Cody Parkey went just 1-for-3 last week against the Redskins after missing just two kicks to that point in his rookie season. One of his misses was from pretty close range. Those misses were big in what was a three-point loss that ended the Eagles playoff hopes. Parkey still has fantasy value and this week the matchup is a much friendlier one. The Birds are capable of moving the ball and often get in high-scoring games so Parkey is going to get his chances to produce.

PHI K Cody Parkey - Week 16, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 - Parkey vs. Washington
Cody Parkey booted two field goals and added three extra points last week. Parkey is 29-for-31 this year and comes in ranked third on our kicker list. The Birds should be able to move the ball this week and that should get Parkey in position to put up some points. Be sure to monitor the weather leading up to this Saturday evening game, though, as there is a potential for a coastal storm.

PHI K Cody Parkey - Week 15, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 - Parkey vs. Dallas
For just the second time this year, Parkey didn't kick a field goal. The last time was back in Week 4 against the 49ers. This week, Parkey gets Dallas at home on Sunday night in what is just a slightly better matchup on paper as the 'Boys are eighth in allowing fantasy points to kickers. But just two weeks ago, Parkey went 4-for-4 with three extra points. He's a good play this week as the Birds look to bounce back and hopefully for Parkey owners move the ball more than they did against the Seahawks.
