TEN WR Rishard Matthews - Week 8, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Jacksonville
Matthews saw seven targets last week, which was his second-best total of the year, but he managed just four catches and 32 yards. He's going to continue to be a hit-or-miss prospect each week, which makes him a flex play with a little upside in most weeks since he's Tennessee's deep threat. Jacksonville has allowed eight WR touchdowns already this season, so there's some hope here.

TEN WR Rishard Matthews - Week 7, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Indianapolis
Matthews still isn't getting a ton of looks, but he's making the most of the ones he's getting. He has at least 70 yards or a touchdown in each of the past three games despite not catching more than three passes in any of those contests. But he remains fifth on the team in targets, which makes him a hit-or-miss start. There's some upside because of the big-play ability, but he's still worth no more than a flex play.

TEN WR Rishard Matthews - Week 6, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Cleveland
Though he scored his first TD last week, Matthews had just four catches for 32 yards. He's not worth a start in any format regardless of the opponent.

TEN WR Rishard Matthews - Week 5, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Miami
Matthews saw a season-low two targets last week, but turned them into two catches for 82 yards. He'll be playing against his former team, so he'll have some extra juice for this one. But with Marcus Mariota struggling, it may not matter. You can do better.

TEN WR Rishard Matthews - Week 3, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Oakland
Matthews had four catches for 40 yards last week, and still seems to be attempting to find his footing in the Tennessee passing game. Oakland's pass defense is terrible, but until Matthews shows he can be more than an occasional target, you can't put him into your lineup.

TEN WR Rishard Matthews - Week 2, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Detroit
Matthews saw just four targets last week and only caught three passes for 26 yards. That's not real appealing. He could be better this week against Detroit, but it can't be counted on at this point. Keep Matthews on the bench.

TEN WR Rishard Matthews - Week 1, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Minnesota
Matthews will start opposite rookie Tajae Sharpe. And with Kendall Wright out with a hamstring injury, the duo should get plenty of work. But Minnesota's pass defense allowed just 17 WR TDs in 2015, so it could be tough sledding for the Titans. Matthews shouldn't be used as anything more than a flex play.

TEN WR Rishard Matthews - 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

2016 Fantasy Outlook
Matthews has been a pretty sure-handed guy in his first four seasons, catching 107 of the 165 targets that he's had in that period. He comes over from the Dolphins off his best season, when he had 43 receptions for 662 yards and four TDs on 61 targets. With the trade of Dorial Green-Beckham, Matthews should click pretty quickly with Marcus Mariota. Right now, his ADP places him at 77th among receivers, which means he's a super steal as a No. 3-4 receiver. We expect 50-plus catches and around 800 yards. Don't sleep on this one.

MIA WR Rishard Matthews - Week 12, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at New York Jets
Rishard Matthews had just one catch for 15 yards last week as the Dolphins offense struggled. Ryan Tannehill finished with less than 200 passing yards, so it's understandable why Matthews didn't have big numbers, either. This week, Matthews draws a tough matchup against the Jets. He won't be going against Revis, but we still don't like the game. He should be viewed as a WR4 this week.

MIA WR Rishard Matthews - Week 11, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Dallas

Rishard Matthews had a solid 5-93 outing in Week 10. He's really only had one bad game all season and that was in Week 4, when he only caught one pass against a tough Jets secondary. Outside of that performance, Matthews has been a nice contributor every week. He hasn't had a huge game since early in the season, but he's still a factor in Miami's offense.

This week he'll face a tough Cowboys defense that has only allowed one receiving touchdown to wideouts in their last four games. Matthews could struggle some this week, making him a WR3 play at best.
