Week 12 vs. Philadelphia
Matt Prater tied a season-high with three FGs, including a 51-yarder, in the win over the Raiders last week. Matt remains perfect on field goal attempts in 2015 and could be a surprise kicking option on Thursday in what should be a high-scoring affair with the Eagles.
Week 11 vs. Oakland
The Lions did their part to put away the Packers last Sunday, but Matt Prater kept Green Bay around with two missed extra points. Matt made both of his field goal attempts, including a 51-yarder, to stay perfect on FGs, but he’s missed three extra points this season. This week Prater will be kicking back at home where Detroit has shown a little bit more offense.
Week 10 at Green Bay
In the loss to Kansas City in London, Matt Prater connected on his only field goal attempt, from 35 yards. The Lions offense just isn’t doing enough for you to have Prater as your fantasy kicker.
Week 8 vs. Kansas City
Matt Prater showed off his strong leg with a 52-yard field goal in the loss to the Vikings last Sunday. It was Matt’s lone FG attempt on the day and he’s now seven-for-seven on the season. Even with a new OC, the Lions offense has been just too inconsistent for you to expect many points out of Prater.
Week 7 vs. Minnesota
Coming into the contest with the Bears last Sunday, Matt Prater had attempted only three field goals on the season. He finished the win three-for-three on FGs, including the game-winner, and totaled 13 points. If the Detroit offense is able to move the ball with more consistency like they did against Chicago, Prater could become a viable kicking option.
Week 6 vs. Chicago
Matt Prater kicked a 40-yard field goal and two extra points in the loss to the Cards last Sunday. With the Lions offense in shambles, he has attempted just three FGs this season and has totaled just 17 points. There has to be a better option for your starting kicker.
Week 5 vs. Arizona
With the Detroit offense struggling this season, Matt Prater isn’t getting a lot of scoring opportunities. He is averaging just three points per game and has only attempted two field goals. Facing a stout Cardinals defense on Sunday, Prater likely won’t have many chances at home on Sunday.
Week 4 at Seattle
Battling food poisoning last Sunday versus his former team, Matt Prater was only called on to attempt an extra point. Unfortunately it was blocked and the Lions were left chasing the Broncos for much of the second half. Prater doesn’t make for a good kicking option this week against a Seattle team coming off of a shutout of the Bears last Sunday.
Week 3 vs. Denver
For the second straight game, Matt Prater totaled just four points. In the loss to the Vikings last week, he was called on to kick a 26-yard FG and an extra point. The Lions fell behind after having trouble moving the ball and resorted to calling plenty of pass plays. While Denver’s defense has been good over the first two weeks, Prater should see some scoring chances on Sunday night in the home opener.
Week 2 vs. Minnesota
Detroit totaled 302 yards and scored four TDs in the loss at San Diego last Sunday, but Matt Prater was needed for just four extra points. The Lions should have a good offensive game against the Vikings, leading to some scoring opportunities for Prater.
