BAL RB Mark Ingram - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Los Angeles Rams

Mark Ingram only gained 48 yards on 13 carries last week, but he added three receptions for 37 yards and two touchdowns in the passing game as the Ravens throttled the Texans 41-7. Ingram has 10 touchdowns this season and is on pace for 1,067 rushing yards. He’s been a reliable fantasy option throughout the season as a high-floor RB2 and he should continue that production down the stretch.

This week, Ingram faces a Rams defense that ranks ninth in aFPA to opposing running backs, but he’s been so steady regardless of matchup this season that he should still be active. Fantasy owners should look to his 15.3 touches per game this season for confidence in trotting him out as a solid RB2 with upside once again, and he should be a starter in all league formats.

BAL RB Mark Ingram - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Houston Texans

Mark Ingram only had nine carries last week against the Bengals, but he finished with 34 yards and a touchdown as the Ravens stomped all over the Cincinnati defense. Ingram didn’t need to run the ball very much as quarterback Lamar Jackson was extremely efficient and the Ravens defense scored two touchdowns.

This week, Ingram should get back to his usual 15.3 touches per game against the Texans. Houston should put up more of a fight offensively than the Bengals did, but their defense ranks seventh in aFPA to opposing running backs. Still, the workload Ingram is likely to receive gives him a nice floor and he should be considered a quality RB2 option in all leagues.

BAL RB Mark Ingram - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Cincinnati Bengals

Mark Ingram had a good game against the Patriots last week, rushing for 115 yards on 15 carries and adding 29 yards on a pair of receptions. Ingram might’ve scored a touchdown, had Gus Edwards not come in to spell Ingram directly after a 53-yard run. Edwards ended up scoring while Ingram caught a breather. Ingram’s 16 touches per game make him a quality RB2 option every week, with RB1 upside in the right matchups.

Only the Dolphins ranks lower in aFPA to opposing running backs this year, so Ingram has a high floor in what should be an excellent matchup. It’s possible the Bengals get down by so much early on that the Ravens sit Ingram, but he should be productive enough early on to put up excellent numbers despite game script. Ingram is a must-start in all formats.

BAL RB Mark Ingram - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. New England Patriots

Mark Ingram struggled against the Seahawks before the bye last week, rushing for only 46 yards and catching a single pass for seven. Ingram has double-digit fantasy points in four of his seven games this season however and has seven touchdowns. He’s averaging 15.9 touches per game and has a high floor due to his ample workload.

This week, Ingram has a tough matchup against the Patriots, who rank fourth in the league in aFPA to opposing running backs. However, Ingram should benefit from what may be a low-scoring game and he should still get his touches, making him a solid RB2 option in most leagues. Fantasy owners should temper expectations because of the matchup, but Ingram should still be counted on for solid production and a large role in the offense.

BAL RB Mark Ingram - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Seattle Seahawks

Mark Ingram has put up only modest yardage numbers the past couple of weeks, but he’s scored a touchdown in each of the last two games and now has seven scores on the season. He had 13 carries for 52 yards and a touchdown against the Bengals last week, and he added 22 yards on three receptions. Ingram averages 14 touches per game, giving him a high floor for fantasy owners looking for a steady RB2 option.

This week, Ingram faces a Seahawks defense that ranks 20th in aFPA to opposing running backs this season. While they should get a little help from the return of defensive tackle Jarran Reed from suspension, this should be an active day for Ingram with ample opportunity to put up borderline RB1 numbers. Start him.

BAL RB Mark Ingram - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Mark Ingram was held to just 44 yards on 19 carries last week against the Steelers, but he did manage to score a touchdown, giving him six on the year. Ingram has scored double-digit fantasy points in three of his five games as a Raven, and he’s clearly a focal point of the offensive attack. He’s averaged 16.6 touches per game, giving him a high fantasy floor in any given week.

Ingram is a must-start against a struggling Bengals defense that has struggled all year. Only the Dolphins rank lower in aFPA to opposing running backs this season. With a great matchup and a high floor due to workload, Ingram should be active in all leagues as a borderline RB1 this week.

BAL RB Mark Ingram - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Mark Ingram struggled to replicate his dominant Week 3 performance against the Browns last week, finishing without a touchdown after three against the Chiefs. However, he still gained 71 yards on 12 carries as the Ravens were blown out and are averaging 6.0 yards per carry on the season. Ingram has been every bit the player the Ravens were hoping he’d be so far, and with 15.5 touches per game on average, he’s a reliable fantasy option and consistent RB2.

This week, Ingram faces a Pittsburgh defense that has been very average against the run this year. They rank 17th in aFPA to opposing running backs through four games, although they held Joe Mixon in check on Monday night. Expect another full workload for Ingram and he’s a safe RB2 option in all league formats.

BAL RB Mark Ingram - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Cleveland Browns

Mark Ingram had a great game against the Chiefs last week, running for 103 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries. He added four receptions for 32 yards and was on the top fantasy performers of Week 3. Ingram is the primary runner for the Ravens, despite the occasional change-of-pace carry for backup Gus Edwards, and he should be a high-floor fantasy option in all leagues each and every week.

This week, Ingram faces a Browns defense that has been very average against the run this year at 15.33 standard fantasy points allowed per game. That puts them right around the middle of the league. If the Browns offense struggles against a tough Ravens defense, however, Ingram could get plenty of work in a ball-control approach. Either way, he’s clearly the primary back and is ranked as an RB1 this week in a pretty good matchup.

BAL RB Mark Ingram - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Kansas City Chiefs

Mark Ingram struggled against the Cardinals last week, gaining only 47 yards on 13 carries, though he added 30 receiving yards on a pair of receptions. Ingram should still be considered a reliable RB2 option throughout the season however with a steady workload in a quality offense. Lamar Jackson took over in the running game – and the passing game for that matter – last week, but averaging 14.5 total touches through two games should give him a high floor.

This week, Ingram may struggle to get a ton of carries against a Chiefs offense that might force Baltimore into more passing situations. Kansas City actually allowed the sixth-most rushing yards per game last season to opposing teams, but they’ve been better this year through two games. Expect Ingram to put up RB2 numbers again, but he has a little less upside this week in a game that could feature a more pass-happy approach by necessity.

Thursday, September 19, 2019 - 12:33pm
BAL RB Mark Ingram - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Arizona Cardinals

Mark Ingram enjoyed a fantastic debut as the Ravens’ featured back, rushing for 107 yards on 14 carries, including two first-half touchdowns in a demolishing of the Dolphins defense. The Ravens were so efficient they gave Ingram a break for much of the second half, easily winning 59-10. Ingram showed some speed on a 49-yard run, and he looks like he still has plenty left in the tank at 29 years old.

This week, Ingram should continue to be used as a key part of the Baltimore offense, and although the Cardinals held Lions running backs to only 3.2 yards per carry last week, Ingram should fare better. Expect more touches in what should be a closer game and for Ingram to put up RB1 numbers in a run-based offense. He should be active in all league formats.
