Mike is an IDP veteran, writing about and ranking IDP for over six season. He finished 6th in overall IDP rankings and 1st overall LB rankings in 2014 at FantasyPros. When he's not poring over IDP depth charts, he can be found agonizing over his Cleveland sports teams.

Last week, we received a glimpse at how Cleveland is going to use Jamie Collins in their defense. Essentially, the answer was all over the field and on every single down. We’re entering Week 10, so hopefully most of you are planning ahead for your playoff run. We have four more teams on bye this week, so let’s take a look at who should be available on your wire to fill in the gaps.

(Note: IDP Matchups will be available toward the end of the week/weekend)

Defensive Line

Chris Baker, DE, Washington Redskins (Coming off bye)

Baker should fly under the radar this week, as the Redskins are coming off a bye. He’s been one of their better defenders and leads the defensive line with two sacks and six QB hits. In tackle-heavy/balanced formats, he’s coming off a 17-point effort in Week 8 and is worth adding for depth in big-play scoring formats.

Gerald McCoy, DT, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (59 snaps/81 percent)

I’d imagine McCoy is gone in DT-required leagues, however, he’s proving useful in leagues that don’t have the designation. He’s been dominant since the bye week, recording 13 or more fantasy points in two of his last three, producing 0.16 points per snap (includes a two-point stinker in Week 8). He’s also notched sacks in two of his last three games. For an interior defender, been productive and sheds off blockers to get to the ball carrier.

Kerry Hyder, DE, Detroit Lions (36 snaps/51 percent)

Hyder is one of those pre-bye week pickups who can pay off down the stretch. In 378 snaps this season, he’s producing nearly 0.20 points per snap and is coming off a two-sack game against the Vikings, so I think he’s in store for a solid second half. He’s notched seven sacks and 12 QB hits, so he’s providing pressure and making an impact at the line of scrimmage (he's also has nine tackles for a loss). Hyder is a target in big-play scoring formats.
