NYJ QB Ryan Fitzpatrick - Week 14, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs Titans
Ryan Fitzpatrick exploded with one of his best games of the season last week throwing for 390 yards and two touchdowns. It was his second straight game without a pick which seems to coincide with his bad thumb healing. He is still listed as probable but seems to be fine, now.

Fitzpatrick has a good matchup against Tennessee who is 27th in aFPA to quarterbacks. Since returning from injury, he has throw at least 34 passes in every game. No doubt he is capable of putting up big numbers on any given week. That's why we rank him as a low-end QB1 for Week 14.

NYJ QB Ryan Fitzpatrick - Week 13, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs Giants
The thumb is definitely getting better as Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 277 yards and four touchdowns last week in his best fantasy game of the season. He also avoided the costly turnovers which have plagued him throughout his career. He is still listed as probable on the injury report but will definitely play on Sunday.

The Giants are ranked 27th in aFPA to wide receivers so the matchup seems favorable for Fitzpatrick. However, we are looking at last week's numbers with caution as the numbers seemed to exceed what Fitzpatrick's norm is. Keep Fitzpatrick on the bench as a QB2 for Week 13.

NYJ QB Ryan Fitzpatrick - Week 12, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs Miami

There is no doubt Ryan Fitzpatrick is slumping, and you have to wonder if the thumb on his non-passing hand is part of the issue. He threw for 216 yards and a touchdown last week, but also threw two INTs and completed only 49 percent of his passes. The Jets will stick with Fitzpatrick for now and he is listed as probable for Sunday.

The matchup is favorable for Fitzpatrick this week as he'll face the Dolphins, who are 23rd in aFPA to quarterbacks. But the way he has played the last two weeks, he only ranks as a low-end QB2 and should remain on your bench.

NYJ QB Ryan Fitzpatrick - Week 11, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs Houston

Ryan Fitzpatrick's thumb is getting better (listed as probable) and might have affected last week's performance against the Bills where he only completed 44 percent of his passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns and interceptions. He wasn't sharp, so the thumb might be a viable excuse.

Fitzpatrick faces Houston, who is 17th in aFPA to quarterbacks so this matchup is neutral. Even with the thumb getting better, Fitzpatrick's numbers have fluctuated at times and there are better options in Week 11 at QB. Keep him on the bench as a QB2 against the Texans.

NYJ QB Ryan Fitzpatrick - Week 10, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs Buffalo

Despite the bad thumb, it was a business as usual for Ryan Fitzpatrick in Week 9. He completed 62 percent of his passes for 272 yards, two TDs and zero picks in the Jets win over Jacksonville.

Fitzpatrick is listed as probable, but will definitely play Thursday night against Buffalo. The Bills have been tough on QBs this season and are ranked 8th in aFPA. to the position. Fitzpatrick will get some opportunities, but don't expect a big game. He only rates as a QB2 for Week 10, so keep him on the bench.

NYJ QB Ryan Fitzpatrick - Week 9, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs Jacksonville

If you have Ryan Fitzpatrick and you started him last week, you weren't happy. He left the game in the 1st quarter with a thumb injury and missed almost the entire rest of the game. He will play this week, but the thumb, which is not on his throwing hand, is still an issue.

The Jaguars come in 14th in aFPA to quarterbacks so no advantage either way. But the injury should scare everyone away because he could be pulled at anytime if it gets aggravated. Keep him on the bench for Week 9.

NYJ QB Ryan Fitzpatrick - Week 8, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs Raiders
Ryan Fitzpatrick had a strong outing last week against New England throwing for 295 yards and two touchdowns. It wasn't enough to beat the Pats, but it continues to show Fitzpatrick does have some fantasy value, especially when he stays away from the picks.

The Jets face the Raiders who are 20th in aFPA to quarterbacks so Fitzpatrick is line to put up some decent numbers this week. However, he doesn't rate high enough compared to other quarterbacks in Week 8 to be given a QB1 status. Keep Fitzpatrick on the bench against Oakland.

NYJ QB Ryan Fitzpatrick - Week 7, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs New England
Against the Redskins, Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 73 percent of his passes for 253 yards and two touchdowns. He still has thrown an interception every game this season, but he has been a serviceable quarterback for New York. Fitzpatrick will face a New England defense that is 24th in aFPA to quarterbacks. The Pats have not been great on defense, so this is a good opportunity for the Jets to score some points. Although Fitzpatrick rates pretty well this week, he is still probably a bench play for Week 7. He does rate as a high-end QB2 if you don't have any other options.

NYJ QB Ryan Fitzpatrick - Week 6, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs Washington

Ryan Fitzpatrick has put up the kind of numbers you would expect from him. He is a game manager and he has put up game manager stats. The TD/INT ratio is poor and he has not thrown for 300 yards in a game yet. But the Jets are 3-1 with him under center, so he should remain the starter.

Coming off the bye week, the Jets will face the Redskins, whose defense has been decent this year. They are 12th in aFPA to quarterbacks, so there is no real advantage in the matchup. Fitzpatrick is a low-end QB2, at best, and will probably only be in lineups out of desperation.

Friday, October 16, 2015 - 11:46am
NYJ QB Ryan Fitzpatrick - Week 4, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs Miami

If you saw Ryan Fitzpatrick throw 58 passes last week, you would think you hit fantasy jackpot. But his numbers were not very good overall. Yes, he had two touchdowns, but he also threw three interceptions. Everyone knows what you get with Fitzpatrick: inconsistent play.

Now, he takes his Jets to jolly old London. He faces the Dolphins, who are giving up almost 19 fantasy points per game to opposing QBs (23rd in aFPA). Even with a favorable matchup, Fitzpatrick should not be in play this week. He is a low-end QB2 at best for Week 4.
