DET RB Reggie Bush - Week 11, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 – Reggie Bush vs. Arizona Cardinals
Reggie Bush reinjured his ankle in the win over Miami last Sunday and finished with only 25 yards on five touches. Joique Bell received 10 of the club’s 19 rushing attempts, but the team ran for just 63 yards. Arizona’s defense is the third best in the league at stopping the run, so, even if Bush is healthy enough to play, don’t expect him to post big numbers.

DET RB Reggie Bush - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 – Reggie Bush vs. Miami Dolphins
After missing the game two weeks ago in London due to a sore ankle, Reggie Bush will be back on Sunday in Miami. Reggie hasn’t really been able to get things going this season, but will be facing one of his former teams in the Dolphins. You know he’ll want to put on a good showing, but will have his work cut out for him facing a defense that is No. 3 in total yards allowed. Bush is a flex play in standard leagues but passable as an RB2 in PPR formats.

DET RB Reggie Bush - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 – Reggie Bush vs. Atlanta Falcons
In the comeback win over New Orleans last Sunday, Reggie Bush was limited to only 32 yards on nine touches. Joique Bell carried the ground game with 18 rushes and a score. Reggie missed a good part of the second half as he is still bothered by a sore ankle that kept him out in Week 6. Unfortunately for Bush owners he is listed as doubtful on Sunday.

DET RB Reggie Bush - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 – Reggie Bush vs. New Orleans Saints
Reggie Bush missed last week’s contest in Minnesota with a sore ankle, but should be back on Sunday versus the Saints. In Reggie’s absence Theo Riddick posted 81 total yards and a score. New Orleans is allowing 380 yards per game, so Bush makes for a strong play if active on Sunday.

DET RB Reggie Bush - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 – Reggie Bush vs. Minnesota Vikings
With Joique Bell out due to a concussion, Reggie Bush was expected to receive the bulk of the rushing attempts versus Buffalo last Sunday, but he had to leave the game with an ankle injury. Prior to departing, Reggie had six carries for 13 yards and two catches for 30 yards. Bush and Bell should both be back in the lineup this week against a Minnesota defense that’s allowing 122 yards per game. If he's able to go, Bush makes for a RB2/flex play on the road Sunday.

DET RB Reggie Bush - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 – Reggie Bush vs. Buffalo Bills
The Jets limited Reggie Bush to 65 yards on 16 touches last week at The Meadowlands. Bush led the Lions with 12 carries for 46 yards, but he has only 148 rushing yards through the first month of the season. Buffalo held the powerful Texans rushing attack to just 37 yards last Sunday and is third in the league at stopping the run. So it could be a tough outing for Bush on the ground, even at Ford Field. With Joique Bell possibly out due to a concussion, it's likely Bush will see an increased workload. That, coupled with his utilization in the passing game makes Bush an RB2 start this week, even in a tough matchup.

DET RB Reggie Bush - Week 4, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 – Reggie Bush vs. New York Jets
In the win over the Packers last Sunday, Reggie Bush had his best game of the season so far, finishing with 61 yards and a TD on the ground, as well as 38 receiving yards. The Lions did a nice job of getting him 18 touches, compared to 15 for Joique Bell (all rushes). The two RBs will continue to receive an equal share of touches, but Bush is the more explosive player. The Jets are allowing a league low 55 rushing yards per game, so temper expectations with Reggie this week.

DET RB Reggie Bush - Week 3, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 – Reggie Bush vs. Green Bay Packers
Against a strong Panthers defense last Sunday, Reggie Bush was limited to just 26 rushing yards on six carries and only six receiving yards. With the Lions playing from behind for much of the second half, Matthew Stafford threw the ball 48 times, with Calvin Johnson and Joique Bell getting the majority of the looks. Bell ended with twice as many touches (16) as Reggie (8). The Jets ran for 146 yards at Green Bay last week, so expect a better performance from Bush at home on Sunday. But the workload is concerning for Bush.

DET RB Reggie Bush - Week 2, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 – Reggie Bush vs. Carolina Panthers
The Giants weren’t really able to slow down Reggie Bush in the opener, as he totaled 64 yards on 15 touches. Bush had only 15 yards on nine rushing attempts, but Matthew Stafford was able to get him the ball with space in the passing game. Joique Bell led the Lions with 15 carries out of the backfield, a trend that is expected to continue, with Bush contributing more in the passing game. Carolina held Tampa Bay in check last week, so don’t expect a big game from Bush.

DET RB Reggie Bush - Week 1, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 – Reggie Bush vs. New York Giants
Heading in to the ’14 season, Reggie Bush and Joique Bell are expected to have around the same number of touches, with Bush contributing more in the passing game. On the home turf, Reggie is still one of the fastest players in the game and is a threat to go the distance every time he touches the rock. Bush totaled 44 yards on 14 touches against New York last season. Even if Bell becomes the featured back for Detroit, Reggie will still be a big part of the offense and should be started in the opener.
