NYG WR Preston Parker - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 – Preston Parker vs. Dallas
Preston Parker had only one catch for six yards last week against the Eagles as the Giants offense struggled all game. His role looks to increase with a serious injury to Victor Cruz, though he’s still a risky fantasy add standing now third on the depth chart. Fantasy owners in deep leagues might stash him on the end of the bench, but in most leagues, he’s not yet roster worthy.

NYG WR Preston Parker - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 – Preston Parker vs. Philadelphia
Preston Parker had a nice game against the Falcons last week, gaining 61 yards on three receptions, helped by an explosive 42 yard catch. Parker was only targeted three times however with rookie Odell Beckham finally healthy and immediately being featured in the passing game. Parker has played well enough to keep getting looks, but as the fourth receiver on the depth chart, his upside is limited and he should remain on waivers in all fantasy leagues.

NYG WR Preston Parker - Week 4, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 – Preston Parker vs. Washington

Preston Parker is still filling in for the injured Jerrel Jernigan, who was filling in for the injured Odell Beckham, and he ended up with three catches and 33 yards in a Week 3 win over the Texans.

Against Washington on Thursday, Parker has a nice matchup and should maintain his role shifting between outside and the slot, depending on where Victor Cruz lines up. Parker is contending with too many players for targets to have any real fantasy value, but he’s been an active part of the roster and is worth keeping an eye on as the season progresses.

NYG WR Preston Parker - Week 3, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 – Preston Parker vs. Houston

Jerrel Jernigan was hurt last week and placed on IR, so Preston Parker, who caught one pass for 29 yards against the Cardinals will step in as the temporary WR3 in New York while rookie Odell Beckham Jr. still tries to get healthy. Parker will also get a shot at the punt return job, but his value is limited by the number three receiver sets in a Giants offense that has struggled tremendously to start the season. Right now, there’s not a lot of confidence in the first two guys on the depth chart, making Parker an unnecessary roster add.
